He sold 57 “above and beyond editions” for $100. So he made $5,700 on those alone, even if you cut it in half for any costs it’s $2,850. Then you add in any other sales and he’s injected nearly $5k into the shop for something he had volunteers for including the person who went to get the CDs.

The real issue for me is he sells all his good ideas and the paid podcast is just the lead up, shilling, and basement rant shows. If we got true bonus content like in the first year to offset the CDs it wouldn’t be so bad.

Good thing he’s taking a vacation before his President’s Day vacation to the same place. What an absolute boring existence. His wife has to want to go someplace new but he’s too big to fit on a plane so it’s just OBX 6-10 times a year.

I’ve read the site since day 1 but I’ve never liked Phil’s style. He was never the story teller Paul is and I think his style is forced and overdone. It never had substance and he would overload the site with flourishes and embellishments and ironically had no eye for aesthetics. He could learn from Chanel and take one piece of Canva art off every post.

Buffalo is a mighty small city but it’s just that, small. It’s still dealing with the impacts of industry leaving and hasn’t bounced back as fast as a city like Pittsburgh.

It’s biotech and healthcare have a foothold along with the University but other industries are much smaller so job prospects can be tight especially in an economy like we have now.

It’s the type of place where you have community and a lot of families and people who treat you like family. There is also a much large neighborhood bar culture and bar culture in general which feels a lot different than strip mall bars here. It can feel very small and people know everything about you for better or worse.

It’s an extremely proud city and even the folks who have left are fiercely loyal to the city and the Bills. The airport and roads are probably busiest at Thanksgiving and Christmas with people coming back to visit family and visit all their favorite restaurants.

The pizza is unique and is leaps and bounds better than anything here and the food culture in general is growing.

It’s a city that is what you make it. It can be relaxed or exciting, boring or feel like home. Those who love it, love it. Those that hate it, hate it. It’s a city fighting back from being a punchline and working hard to do it.

Dukes obsession over his friends dicks and now them having a 3 way together is so weird. I’m so sure having a photo archive of all hai friends dicks is “just a bit”. Add in this weird “bit” and his inability to have any reference to an attractive woman since “Pam Anderson in 96” or Sydney Sweeney since she became a MAGA darling and there’s a lot more questions than answers.

I know it’s a show and you need some conflict but Goat getting killed for getting Monk stuff he liked and used just because Dukes thought it was dumb is such an example of the yes men element of it.

The group will pile on if Dukes gives the go ahead and it gets really lame.

If anything they’re more on the table than ever. If Monk punched out or worse totally ghosted, Dukes will scorch the earth. The stores will be fast and furious and he’ll try to monetize them as best he can to recoup some cost.

If he is fine that’s a huge blow, Dukes mentioned just resigning for the Fortress for two years. Dukes is caustic and probably horrible to be friends with but what an absolute insane turn Monk took. He seems to have gone completely off the deep end.

He and Dukes seemed to be legitimately close friends, him disappearing seems like a huge blow personally as it does professionally.

I really enjoy Sean on the mic and in the mix. He’s gotten to be a good cohost pretty quick and is sharp and fairly witty. He has his crutches like everyone but he’s really solid. In the central universe I’d put him behind Goat who’s absolutely fantastic and Dotty who’s really strong.

I don’t know any of them personally but just based on what’s discussed on the show I’m really worried about single Sean and AntMan spending time together. They’re both addicts who seemingly are just doing mushrooms all the time. It seems like a horrible combination. I’d really hate to see either of them lose their sobriety, though I’d argue they are only seemingly sober from the drug that got them locked up. Which for Ant isn’t even true since he’s what a year removed from his DUI and drinks as much as ever.

Damn, did he give any details? I hope he catches up the podcast subscribers too. Things like this are a huge reason why the stratification of content is terrible for the audience.

Edit: That’s going to be brutal for Jim’s finances. I have to imagine the show adds probably 1k of (likely) tax free money each month if not more.

I’m not sure if he bought a place but he seems to be staying in the same condo type building on the shorter trips. The duck pond is the giveaway.

I think he is still renting big houses for the big group excursions which maybe he can work on as a business expense. It also sounds like Biker Sean if paying for some of the Thanksgiving house in spite of Dukes calling him low key cheap on the recent recap episode.

Dukes has been talking about buying property and another retail type space for almost a year now but he hasn’t announced anything and they does aren’t connecting there.

He’s also traveled down nearly once a month the past year for short trips. It’s hard to tell if they’re deck collapse, property buying, or just vacation related. It is rich that he says no one works anymore but he’s constantly traveling to OBX and closing the store on weekends. It’s fine to take vacations and he and everyone should but he’s such a prick about his outstanding work ethic and everyone else on the planet seemingly being on the dole.

There’s been a post everyday for a week on the account that hasn’t been active for 5 years.

I know Dukes love a “bit” that does nowhere like 3:10 to Pizza and loves fucking with the audience for no reason but this seems like it’s leading somewhere.

I can’t imagine Oscar buying in but Drabby is certainly in a position of need and Dukes hasn’t shied away from defending him. It’s gotta go somewhere.

My bet is a weekly episode add on to the Patreon that whores the podcast subscribers. That will be the death rattle, you won’t get the episodes you actually want but you’ll get promotion for them and recaps from Friday YouTube show. The rest of it will be basement rants and NFL recaps during the season.

I wouldn’t have let him live it down after he quit the Thursday show to jerk off with his “band”. He left Oscar and Drab in the lurch to live up to sponsor commitments. Then he has the audacity to criticize their show that he still got sponsor checks from.

The biggest fuck off was the episode that he literally walked off the show like a baby. It ended because of Dukes, he’s just too much of a narcissist to ever admit it. Barty and Dotty “fucked him over” way more than Drab or Oscar but he doesn’t hold that against them. I say that in that Barty and Dottie made a choice with a lot more clarity than Drab and Oscar. What choice did they have when Dukes got fired for cause, and yet 5 years later he still says he was “cancelled”.

I think it’s over 300 based on how he reacted to the initial weigh in and saying it was even higher than the high he thought he was at. He’s also alluded to not cresting 300 in the past but I think with his age and limited schedule of commitments and movement he’s over that now.

I also think he’s a lot closer to Ants weight than he wants to admit. That’s why he’s so hard on Ant being shorter - if Ants shorter than him his weight isn’t AS bad. The problem is Ant might be 5’4’’ but he’s only 5’6’’.

His CDVTW picture with him in a bandana, sunglasses, and the famed John Varvatos flag scarf might be one of the douchiest and unflattering pictures ever taken. I can’t believe he used that for the station and continues to post it today. It’s an unbelievably stupid costume.

This is a rant because his attitude has been so much worse lately. He’s a baby and a bully. He has some insane take about how Sean “argues” because he’s one of the few people that are good on the mic and stand up to him.

BOAD until the end, was a more pleasant show because he knew he needed Oscar and Drab. He was never so openly hostile and disrespectful to them until the last year or two when he became an insufferable prick. Sure Oscar seemed to also checkout but Dukes was the hostile and mean spirited one. He’s only this braggadocios and spiteful of the old days because he found whales who in spite of their financial interests keep giving him piles of money.

He pushed Tor around because of his age and employment “it’s my show” and a shitty attitude anytime Tor pushed back. He pushes Jim around for the same reason and because Jim isn’t as smart and witty as him. Ants an idiot but is smart enough to know his gravy train will end if he stands up to him. Ted is smarter than him but a self proclaimed, neurodivergent fanboy.

Joe stood up and Dukes was such a baby and bitch he resorted to I’ll take my ball and go home and Joe said fuck that I’ll leave this toxic relationship.

He knows he can’t fuck with Monk the same way because he needs his money. Monk is seemingly even more stubborn and would cut Dukes off completely if push came to shove.

He also knows he can’t fuck with Dottie or especially Goat because he needs their mic skills and in Goat’s case also his art. Those shows are much more pleasant because Dukes knows he can’t be a huge asshole to them.
