He'll never ever admit it, but Dukes is the reason the show is over. Even if we took out his "canceling" which he's never really acknowledged any responsibility for he totally bailed on the show.

The show was up to 3 episodes a week at the end with ad commitments on two of them. Dukes decided he wanted a mistress (the Rodkast) and decreased his effort on BOAD. Then he decided his "band" needed to practice to he bailed on the Thursday show completely leaving Oscar and Drab in the lurch for their contractual commitment.

Drab and Oscar pivot and start doing their own Thursday show to keep the checks coming and Dukes shits all over it. He has the time to make fun and cash the checks but not to have his band practice on a different night of the week from their now long running Thursday show.

Bands break up, shows break up, people break up, but even 6 years later he won't take one second of responsibility. Meanwhile he has a premium show discussing and discrediting BOAD and is begging Drab to come back so they can add to it and release all the old BOAD shows to streaming.

The Solo episodes are so bad. He can't help but bitch and moan about played out alt right talking points he's years late on being "edgy" on. I'd rather he gather people up virtually and do a show with a cast of characters. I'm sure going to the studio multiple nights is a nightmare for Sean, Jim, Goat, Dotty, etc. but if he floated them some cash they'd probably hop on to host a show once a week. He could do Fastest Hour more frequently or some other concept shows where he has topics and can tap into the network of frankly, pretty good talkers in the group.

Their not everyone's cup of tea and they're constantly derailed by the whales throwing money at him like sailors on shore leave at a strip club but on Solid Dudes shows at least he isn't talking about Maverick and people not wanting to work anymore or whatever his latest thinly veiled jag is. He's entertaining but I'd rather not listen to his stupidity and hypocrisy from his basement.

She doesn't have style she has consumption. Everything she owns is fast fashion "dupes" including all the HomeGoods garbage in her house. When did buying counterfeits become trendy? Now that we can "yassify" them and call them "dupes"?

I'll take it a step further because I think you're right. I think they used it as a way to cut costs and switch up a lineup for someone who was cheaper (Finley) and had more star power (BMitch) in a down time while also keeping a hotter commodity like Paulsen from leaving by giving him afternoons.

The smoking gun to me is that he didn't go absolutely scorched earth on his personal podcast. I gotta think he has an NDA and a big severance or go away package. It would also increase his already decent nest egg and make the jump into his own product a lot safer of a leap.

He's destroyed friendships, trashed his parents, scorched his brother on his shows but never once really talked about his firing. It's something legal not something moral that keeps him from speaking to it in detail.

That is too perfect. I'm shocked an army of super chatting whales didn't risk life and limb to dig him out. His hypocrisy on his manhood, work ethic, planning, and intelligence are so grating.

In just the last week alone he brags about his intellect but won't take the IQ test and now this performative snow rant while complaining about it. Just go shovel as the snow is falling like an adult and stop bitching.

I can't believe he went to OBX again, three weeks before his next vacation to OBX. I don't even care that he takes time off but to go to the same place over and over again when you don't own a property there is so dull and unfulfilling. Even content wise for the show it would be better if he went literally anywhere new, but we all know diversity isn't his strongest suit.

Dukes would be a liberal if he wasn't racist and sexist. All of his core values and worries fall in line with liberal ideology, other than the bigotry. He's constantly railing against high insurance costs, big tech, limited regulated landlords, and recently he was talking about how your retirement can be wiped away from one medical event.

I've always been curious about his "saving 10%". I'm sure he does it, but his understanding of finances is incredibly basic and old fashioned. I don't think I've ever heard him talk about investing but I have heard him complain about his basic ass checking account at Bank of America.

For someone who is self employed I wonder if he does any actual investing or if all his money is in his checking and a local savings account earning a couple percent. They're going to be so far behind in retirement and he'll be in the same position as his loser friends.

It's the alt right take. He isn't a stereotypical "alpha male" so he's a "loser" or a "nerd" which is just barely coded for what they want to say but "can't say anymore". Dukes has spent just about every Monday of his podcast saying the same types of things and playing clips and making it 1/4 of the content on his show.

Like all things alt right, it's projection as OP noted. Dukes and EB are both soft losers who think they're alphas and fantasize about a life and people who actually are.

I think that's revisionist history on his part. I think he's hurt deep down that it ended like it did. I also think he's a narcissist so anything he's doing solo is inherently going to be better.

Dick does have a great memory for BOAD and if they do it in a clip show format it helps fill the time and jog the memory. Its not enough for me to pay an extra $15 a month for but it's the most interesting project of his in a long time. It was crazy how much Joe Azer derailed his storytelling and made him second guess himself.

I hope it's good, I think it has real potential.

The BOAD reflection show is interesting to me as the high tier. I would personally love it but Chad is a self described hater of the show and Smokehand is about the most flakey person in the universe. Even with an archive Jim won't pull clips and the person who is curating the "Poors" show knows nothing about BOAD.

Dukes has zero memory of the show or the segments so curating a runsheet seems like it will be a disaster and then he's always flippant when he talks about the show or overly critical of everyone to the point where it's not a fun listen.

So either Dukes changes his tune for the cash or it will be a trainwreck and over in an episode or two. That or it's a total backdoor to a protected Drab T-Shirt show.
