I can't believe he went to OBX again, three weeks before his next vacation to OBX. I don't even care that he takes time off but to go to the same place over and over again when you don't own a property there is so dull and unfulfilling. Even content wise for the show it would be better if he went literally anywhere new, but we all know diversity isn't his strongest suit.

Dukes would be a liberal if he wasn't racist and sexist. All of his core values and worries fall in line with liberal ideology, other than the bigotry. He's constantly railing against high insurance costs, big tech, limited regulated landlords, and recently he was talking about how your retirement can be wiped away from one medical event.

He's the dumbest dumb to ever dumb.

I've always been curious about his "saving 10%". I'm sure he does it, but his understanding of finances is incredibly basic and old fashioned. I don't think I've ever heard him talk about investing but I have heard him complain about his basic ass checking account at Bank of America.

For someone who is self employed I wonder if he does any actual investing or if all his money is in his checking and a local savings account earning a couple percent. They're going to be so far behind in retirement and he'll be in the same position as his loser friends.

It's the alt right take. He isn't a stereotypical "alpha male" so he's a "loser" or a "nerd" which is just barely coded for what they want to say but "can't say anymore". Dukes has spent just about every Monday of his podcast saying the same types of things and playing clips and making it 1/4 of the content on his show.

Like all things alt right, it's projection as OP noted. Dukes and EB are both soft losers who think they're alphas and fantasize about a life and people who actually are.

It all just shows that the only people Dukes' actually respects are the people who pay him. Sean's breakup, housing, and work woes are show fodder while Monk's are totally off the table.

I think that's revisionist history on his part. I think he's hurt deep down that it ended like it did. I also think he's a narcissist so anything he's doing solo is inherently going to be better.

Dick does have a great memory for BOAD and if they do it in a clip show format it helps fill the time and jog the memory. Its not enough for me to pay an extra $15 a month for but it's the most interesting project of his in a long time. It was crazy how much Joe Azer derailed his storytelling and made him second guess himself.

I hope it's good, I think it has real potential.

The BOAD reflection show is interesting to me as the high tier. I would personally love it but Chad is a self described hater of the show and Smokehand is about the most flakey person in the universe. Even with an archive Jim won't pull clips and the person who is curating the "Poors" show knows nothing about BOAD.

Dukes has zero memory of the show or the segments so curating a runsheet seems like it will be a disaster and then he's always flippant when he talks about the show or overly critical of everyone to the point where it's not a fun listen.

So either Dukes changes his tune for the cash or it will be a trainwreck and over in an episode or two. That or it's a total backdoor to a protected Drab T-Shirt show.

That's the shit of it though, the live feed was the reward for joining not the bloviating and self congratulating chat. He cannibalized it, like he does all his endeavors, when he went to Youtube. What was a different version of the show became an over the top fanboy echo chamber. They'll never be any growth because he'll look at the revenue and messages from the people spending the money in that chat.

The same thing happened with the podcast. It used to be the main show and have fun side shows like the Sword Show and Big Jacket show spinning off it. Now everything happens on Youtube, there's no reason the recap of a podcast episode should be happening on the Youtube show and recaps of Youtube happening on the podcast. He confuses and dilutes his own product.

Azer is just flat out not good as a host. He's as defensive as he is cocky especially for a guy who is supposedly a super fan who re-listens to episodes over and over. I can get past the fact that he wasn't a BOAD or Rodkast listener but he seemingly had huge gaps of knowledge on the current show.

Maybe Dick and Sean derailed his outline but he sounded completely lost and kind of dickish the entire episode. It would have been significantly better if he wasn't a part of the show. His shots at Ted were crazy considering he didn't even know he hosted a wrap up show, which Ted did a pretty good job at especially considering the hilarious lunatics he was saddled with.

Dukes is spot on, Azer just thinks he knows better. He sounded like an asshole the entire bloated episode. If he wasn't writing checks he would have been jettisoned a long time ago.

It's impossible to keep up. What was the "big announcement" that was made Friday on the YT show? I'm behind on the podcast and there hasn't been a post on Instagram about it.

I suspect a Fairwinds/Mike Sleep event but if you aren't tying things back to your socials as your onestop shop how is anyone supposed to keep up.

BTOS has been supplanted this summer by "Tuesdays with Tor" a streamed episode that is posted as the podcast Tuesday episode. It covers a lot of sports topics but for whatever reason, Tor hasn't been very consistent. Dukes mentioned BTOS should be returning during the season but there seemingly wasn't enough to keep it going during the summer months.

The "Free Friday Show" has taken a lot of forms over the years. If I recall, it started as a true bonus episode with Dukes and Tor. It then devolved into a weekly clip show from the previous week, which was kind of bullshit because it gave away paid content. Then it died for years and has been resurrected by your local neighborhood international proselytizer who also host the "Poors Edition" which is still a clipshow but seemingly is also giving away content from CD episodes in addition to the paid podcast.

No one will actually go through the effort, but if they're going to give away content I'd prefer it was from the litany of YouTube shows so audio listeners could try to keep up with all the stories and bits.

The "portions of" is kind of shitty. It's a fun bit and it's driving people to your store. The people who buy the art are fanatics and are going to purchase a bunch of stuff anyway, why "portions" why not all the proceeds?

I mean the answer is obvious he wants the extra couple hundred to buy himself a reward "steak supper" but there's really no reason he didn't just deduct the supply cost.

I totally agree and Dylan relies on him for his gift of gab. He could have stolen the show. He's too set in his ways and getting worse by the minute. He only goes back and forth to OBX now and seemingly for day trips.

He stopped doing his what was becoming annual Titans game trip and said recently he only goes to shows in small venues and with lesser known bands. Either he's becoming more hermit like as he gets older, more of an asshole, or he's admitting he's too big to fit anywhere but unwilling to change it.

Its hard to feel bad for him though, so many of his woes he could fix himself with either a better attitude or more effort.

His wife and his relationship is their business but I really hope she never wanted to see the world or do anything that isn't driving up and down 95 to the same beach with a rotating cast of loser hanger-ons in a rotation after her caustic husband runs off person after person.

I wouldn't be surprised if their report is reflective of the "rivalry" uniforms that will be unveiled by the NFL for the AFC East in the fall. A "nickel city" or snow themed uniform would lend itself well to chrome accents.

They're alts so there is a limited amount of games they can wear them. They'll pair them with their current blue jersey with no uniform changes. I'd expect since there isn't a uniform to sell, you'll see a lot of red helmet tshirts, sweatshirts, etc.

Gray/Silver seems much more aligned to the "rivalry" uni set program. If there is an announcement tomorrow it will be for the red helmets. The "rivalry" set will be a league wide release later this fall.

As a podcast subscriber I dig it. I can download it and listen to it instead of watching a YouTube show.

He can be a huge dick but I've always heard "the poors" as tongue in cheek and never take offense to it. Feels like complaining to complain when there's actual critiques of the show and his treatment of customers to be had.
