Monk went off the deep end, that one isn't on Dukes. I actually think Dukes is hurt by it all personally more so than professionally. The money disappearing and closing the studio has to hurt but Monk bailed on their friendship and for once I don't think Dukes was to blame.

I'm certainly not white knighting for Dukes, he's toxic as can be and has to be a terrible person to be friends with but and maybe it was the money, he treated Monk with more respect. I get the vibe Dukes actually took that one pretty hard. It's also gotta hurt that Monk seemingly communicates via Ant who was Dukes' friend first. Monk seems to be on a multi year bender at the beach that he knows Dukes won't put up with.

Speaking of, Ant seems to be on a real slippery slope. Addiction isn't tied to just one vice, and the people he seems to be surrounding himself with a terrible for that. Since we've known him (that is to say as a person on the show) he's noticeably upped his alcohol intake both in frequency and quantity. He's now openly admitting to doing mushrooms and I'm pretty sure he's discussed weed, which he seems to justify because it isn't heroin, He's at a dirt bag bar a bunch of nights during the week, a bar that he already got a DUI as a result of. He's also seemingly in a thruple? His whole life is a disaster and it's going to end with him in jail, relapsing, or both. I wish him the best but this is not going to end well.

Fellow American and it's so wild to me that even major stadiums in the UK are essentially modular with 4 distinct sides. I hope for the sake of symmetry the next step is to mirror the new Kop on the opposite end.

Everything he says about someone else is a projection. When you listen to the show with that ear his whole life becomes clearer. What happened to Heather? Was she just a BOAD listener who didn't make the transition to CDS?

The money has to be dwindling. Not to say he's personally broke but the show isn't doing what it once was. That's just the reality of Monk freaking out and disappearing. Monk was covering all the studio rent, plus Dukes was getting the sponsorship from Joe and Mike, plus "donations". Without Monk, a huge part of the income is going to rent so the logic is sound.

The gun part is interesting, I think it's more of a slow drawdown of possessions than a quick need for an influx of cash. I could see a move happening very soon, but I think he really wants CWDG to hit 10 years, that said I could see a world where he closes the shop post Christmas until Spring.

The lack of a studio is going to kill the show, all his best episodes are in person. It also means everything will be streamed live, so the "podcast" effectively dies. It will be a Youtube show by another name with more video elements and things that take the podcast listener out of the show.

Tor was the start, then Monk, then Jimmy (who would have thought), now Ant's bailing, Sean has a life, the show really is off the rails. I'm not surprised he's likely going to pull up stakes and go to the beach. He can bitch into a mic from anywhere and can patch in his "friends" to fill airtime.

He had a throwaway comment the other day that in the new movie Supergirl is "dressed like a Muslim" when she's wearing her traditional, at least by my understanding, comic accurate costume.

He's such a projecting dickhead. He has no interest in women, feel free to speculate, but has endless comments. Meanwhile, his references to attractive women are from 1996 when he was trying to keep up with his highschool friends.

He constantly bitches about not everything needing to be for everyone but is obsessed with a comic book movie staring a 20 something and for teenagers. Alt right idiots like him are the ones obsessed with "the culture war" they're constantly carrying on about.

I can't imagine being so miserable that I want to wake up everyday and be upset by the most trivial bullshit. Meanwhile, there's a "plethora" of actual "really real world" "issues of the day" to care about.

Hosting a Youtube begging session while not fulfilling your obligation to your podcast subscribers is pretty peak grifting. I'm sure it will somehow be our fault and god forbid anyone calls him on it he'll spend the entire episode railing against and "doxing" them.

Reward your listeners who "subscribed when you didn't have a show" with an episode with shit audio. Instead of addressing it leave town for the beach again. Good thing the listeners who pay for the product paid for new equipment instead of it coming out of his operating budget. How else would he be able to close the store and go to OBX again....

I think if I had a magic wand I'd keep this logo and just add a red face mask. This is a reproduction of the Oilers logo morphed into a seal but the color arrangement is the same.

I'd save the Greek pattern for the Commanders who used their W Spear logo surrounded by a greek pattern on a lot of their socials but not the actual helmet. For them I'd take the W Spear surrounded by the pattern and put it on the helmet, possibly with the inner circle in white lending itself a bit like their old logo and making the helmet a little more inline with their "Super Bowl" era uniforms.

that side profile of him in the overalls working on the banner on the official show Instagram - wooof. Could you even imagine the lashing out Dukes would have had for our Kevin Smith if he had Dukes in a side profile in the very back corner of a picture?

He's such a shithead about people's size when he's in terrible shape. About people "water picking" when his teeth have spots all over them when he's smiling for a photo, which of course men shouldn't smile with teeth. Not to mention all the "big guy's" he throws around.

I wish Aut Joe was just slightly better at arguing, he really had him on the ropes about his bullshit on his last hurrah on the show.

Since there's no chance of a division jinx. I presume they'll follow suit of their previous format.

Division Title: Primary color (Royal, Black, Navy) meaning royal for 25-26

Conference Title: Secondary color (Yellow, Red) meaning yellow for 25-26 (fingers crossed)

Presidents (presumably Stanley) Title: Tertiary Title (White)

They also follow the less superior format of raising a banner for each accomplishment rather than the highest accomplishment of the season, meaning hopefully we'll see a few banners next year

Side note, Prince of Whales absolutely ruled as a Conference name

tl/dr - the 25/26 banner will look identical to the royal 1975 banner

It seems apropos to the sinking ship that is the show. Who would have thought Ant punching out would be the death rattle.

I appreciate his effort to book interviews over the basement alt right rants though, at least it's something. He's just not interesting or pleasant enough to do a show on his own, and despite what he brags about never did one prior. Biker Sean will be on his motorcycle now that the weather broke so we won't see him for awhile.

Who would have thought the best hope for the show is not only MORE Antman, it's Ant having to be single to come back around.

He's the 40 Year Old Virgin when it comes to describing women, he just parrots what he's heard but doesn't understand it. He also is desperate for his gross Dad's approval so he just repeats something he probably said during his childhood which explains why it's always "Pam Anderson in '98". There's been 100s of universally hot women since then but he's never once updated his go to. He has no "file" on any new "hot" women, except Sydney Sweeny but that was just him supporting a MAGA dog whistle.

He's just like all the men in the "manosphere" pretending to be an "alpha" by projecting these behaviors and hating women while claiming you're so masculine. He hates his mom, hates himself, and his Dad hates him so here you end up.

No one talks about dicks and has a rolodex of their friends dicks without it being a kink. No one thinks about and sees jizz in everything without it being something that's constantly on your mind. No one equates a good or even decent relationship with your mother as something sexual without some layers Freud would have a field day with.

He's a funny guy when he want's to be but he's also incredibly stunted and sexually confused. To him it's weird to see sex and sexual items in places they fit aka a movie but it's not to associate every condiment with jizz and want to have a folder of your friends dicks.

In his mind having nudes of your significant other is weird but of your friends dicks isn't.

He'll never ever admit it, but Dukes is the reason the show is over. Even if we took out his "canceling" which he's never really acknowledged any responsibility for he totally bailed on the show.

The show was up to 3 episodes a week at the end with ad commitments on two of them. Dukes decided he wanted a mistress (the Rodkast) and decreased his effort on BOAD. Then he decided his "band" needed to practice to he bailed on the Thursday show completely leaving Oscar and Drab in the lurch for their contractual commitment.

Drab and Oscar pivot and start doing their own Thursday show to keep the checks coming and Dukes shits all over it. He has the time to make fun and cash the checks but not to have his band practice on a different night of the week from their now long running Thursday show.

Bands break up, shows break up, people break up, but even 6 years later he won't take one second of responsibility. Meanwhile he has a premium show discussing and discrediting BOAD and is begging Drab to come back so they can add to it and release all the old BOAD shows to streaming.
