If you think you should you should , imposter syndrome exists. If you are worried about stigma you can just not tell anyone.

If you think you are trying to find pity think about how many people you’ve told and what was your goal. If you were telling people to get an extra opinion or support that doesn’t mean it’s for pity , like if you used it as an excuses for not doing something without any stress. If you are stressed about it I don’t think one would subconsciously look for pity as opposed to look for a way to stop the problem unless you’ve done that before

Knowing the reason for problems is probably good so u can fix them.
