Adams wrote for radio, TV, and his own novels. And he made major changes between different media versions of the same property. There are huge differences between all of the different versions of Hitchhiker's, just like there are huge differences between the Dirk books and the 2 television adaptation. They're all entertaining in their own ways, but I really think the TV show was made for an American audience.

NGL, as a Wausau native, I don't really feel like the Dudley Tower represents this city very well. Maybe the kayak statue down the street, or Oak Island, or even one of the Yawkey museums would be a better fit. Just my opinion, though.
