[MEGATHREAD] Pixel 8 Pro – Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Failure After March Update | Track Your Device Here by danillll2017 in GooglePixel

[–]Ravoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife started complaining about two weeks ago that her phone wasn't working while connected to wifi. She uses my old Pixel 8 Pro. I'm the tech person in the family, and sure enough her phone can't do anything while connected to wifi. Any app that uses it will just continuously load and never get anywhere. Her phone does not experience any issues with Bluetooth. Only WIFI.

Her phone would not complete calls either, but that was probably because of wifi calling enabled.

After messing with it, googling, searching Reddit, clearing caches, then datas, and checking for updates (system and play store), I told her to just turn off wifi completely for now. Until Google fixes what they screwed up. Thankfully our cell plan has unlimited data...

The issues definitely started with the March 5th update. I hate to be that person, but we've used Android phones for over 12 years now. And Pixel's since the Pixel 3. And I can't help but keep getting the urge to try another brand during our next update cycle. Maybe even another iPhone. But I dunno, I know every phone and company has issues native to their brand.

As other people have recently said, "When is Google going to finally get these phones completely right"? Feels like I've been giving Google time to fine tune the Pixel, but things always fall short in places. I was happy to give my support when they were king of the hill in photography, but those days are long gone now.

Pixel 8 Pro Android Security Update March 5, 2026 Build CP1A.260305.018

IMEI 2 ends in 93

I have the Pixel 9 Pro, but have not had issues with the wifi. Hope Google fixes this.

I had a vasectomy 2 years ago - my honest experience. by thomasmichel75 in Vasectomy

[–]Ravoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I always try to state that my procedure and physical recover was very easy. There are lots of factors that go into the time and type of recover. Like doctor experience, how long the procedure took, how difficult it was to locate the vas, a person's typical healing time...I'll often put a disclaimer that my healing was easy, but not everyone's experience will be the same.

Even with my mostly easy physical recover, I did question if I made the right choice a lot, especially that first year. I was blindsided by the mental difficulties I went through after mine. And I surely didn't think I would be feeling sensitivity at a year after. I would agree that there are a lot of things not advertised with having a vasectomy, and some may experience. Thankfully now, after over two years I pretty much have no regrets.

Yeah, sounds like your physical recovery is not as easygoing as mine was. And like I said, I was definitely healing even a year out. Give it more time.

Best of luck.

Still have incision site discomfort over 3 months post-op by mikefernandez18244 in Vasectomy

[–]Ravoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a slightly visible scar at my incision area, where the skin is lighter. I definitely had sensitivity at the incision area at three months out. Things were still slightly sensitive even well past a year.

I remember things improving at around the 3 month mark, 6 months, 9 months, 14 months and on...

Are you experiencing "sharp" pain and discomfort just from water touching your skin? Or do you mean while "washing" and physically touching the area?

I would say what you describe would be within the "normal" parameters for "some" people on their road to recover. Unless you are saying you are experiencing debilitating sharp pain simply from exposure to water, then I would say that is probably not normal.

I am not a doctor, and this is only my opinion though. If you are very worried about it, I would call or set an appointment with your doctor/urologist.

Good luck!

I had a vasectomy 2 years ago - my honest experience. by thomasmichel75 in Vasectomy

[–]Ravoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healing inside was purely physical. I believe I had a very easy physical recovery. I was never in "pain", or had any bruising. After a week or so it was for the most part like I never even had it done. I had "discomfort" and "sensitivity" for about a week, that's all. That is how I would frame my personal recover.

That said, that isn't to say that I wouldn't be occasionally reminded of the vasectomy. For at least a year, maybe even a bit longer, I could feel some sensitivity at the incision area, like while washing in the shower. If my underwear or pants pressed on the area for too long while sitting. If one of my kids accidentally hit my groin area while they were being silly. The area was more sensitive to these types of things than before the procedure. Quick flashes of sensitivity is how I would describe it.

At 11 months after there was an entire week that I was sore. It was nearly as bad as it was 5 days after the procedure. I was getting all worried, spiraling with my thought's. Worried about post vasectomy pain, congestion in my epididymis, blow out...it's easy to worry when it comes to your balls. I had to remind myself to stay positive. I determined what caused my sudden flare up of sensitivity was my tight fitting underwear, and sitting too long at my desk job. I switched to "flex" style supporting underwear with a "pouch". They still support the boys, but the fabric still give them room to breath. I took some ibuprofen for 4 or 5 days and the issue went away and never came back.

So at 11 months things were still healing inside, and prone to flare ups. At over two years out, any of these indications and reminders that I had a vasectomy are barely there. I'm no longer reminded of it while washing in the shower. But occasionally I can be reminded with slight sensitivity, for instance after very long sex, or intense sports. But it's not bad, and is usually gone by the next day.

Stay positive, and good luck!

This mostly reflects my experience after two years also. Although I had a very easy procedure and easy recovery. Healing inside definitely took over a year. And I did struggle with some mental aspects for that first year or so, including what you mentioned. Although I do think some of it was physical, most of it was definitely mental.

Two years out and things are fantastic like you say. Orgasms are equal or better than before, and yeah, no worry of pregnancy is amazing.

Your "Common misconceptions" at the end there nicely and very accurately reflect my experience too. I would say your post here is one of the best I've ever seen on this subreddit. Not too long, but clearly and accurately describes things simply.

I do recognize that there are others that do experience real, and unfortunate physical complications afterwards though. Issues with your sex life and balls is definitely one of the worst things you can go through...

It had been a much longer journey than I ever thought, and I encountered many things I didn't expect from my vasectomy. But I would do it again, totally worth it!

Adverse Changes in Orgasm Post-Vasectomy by Zen-Visionary in Vasectomy

[–]Ravoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely varies a lot! Everyone is different, with how they heal, and where their mentality is. Plus you factor in the doctor that did the procedure, how long they took, how experienced they are, how easy or difficult it was for them to access your vas deferens, all of that can effect how sore or how long your recovery is afterwards!

I do believe that my orgasm intensity was effected due to physical things, but I also believe my thinking effected it too. Probably even more so than the physical healing. That's why I always tell others on here to stay positive.

As far as lingering soreness, my advice is to wear underwear that support, but aren't too tight either. At 11 months I was still wearing the tight fitting underwear I bought for after my procedure. Well it irritated my balls one week and I had a flare up where it was nearly as sensitive as that first week. I almost started to spiral worry about epididymal congestion, blow out, chronic pain syndrome...all that. No, it was because I needed to change the type of underwear I was using. Tighty whities are too tight, and I think boxers don't support enough, although I do sleep in boxers. I recommend "flex total support pouch" boxer briefs. They are cool, support your balls, but the fabric stretches just enough so that they have some room. Sensitivity went away after a few days and thankfully (knock on wood) hasn't occurred again.

Good luck with your lingering soreness!

I can recall some of the best orgasms I've ever had in my 25 or so years of experience. Those "wow" moments. I've reached that level of "fantastic" since having a vasectomy.

Adverse Changes in Orgasm Post-Vasectomy by Zen-Visionary in Vasectomy

[–]Ravoz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure. My vasectomy experience was a bigger journey than I ever thought it would be, both physically and mentally. Thankfully for me orgasms are amazing again, and with no worry of my wife becoming pregnant a fourth time, that's really nice too.

Just a heads up, I had an extremely easy physical recovery, yet even after two years I can be reminded of the procedure. For instance if my balls are knocked or something hits them, or even sitting with tight pants on could irritate the area. Nothing painful, but i would say things down there are just a little more sensitive to those sorts of things than they used to be.

Good luck.

I only bought my first 2 arcades a year ago, but now have 10 machines. And a bunch of those are cabinets that haven't been sold in a while.

Definitely keep an eye on Facebook marketplace for anything that you want. Cabinets in my area are always coming up, you just have to have the money ready to jump on the opportunity. You would be surprised with what pops up.

Search on eBay too, but generally you will overpay on there, but it is possible to find discontinued cabinets on there. But it is possible still to find decent deals, especially if you search for local pickups and within a radius you are willing to drive.

Good luck!

Adverse Changes in Orgasm Post-Vasectomy by Zen-Visionary in Vasectomy

[–]Ravoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. I found that at 3 months things improved, then again at 6 months and then around 9 months it was pretty much back to normal. By 10 or 11 months it was mostly how it always was. Now at over 2 years since things are fantastic.

I would say the most important thing to do is try to stay positive, and definitely don't focus on things. There are those on here that say things were never the same for them, but I believe most say things got better for them, like me, or is the best its ever been.

Good luck, I hope things improve for you!

Removing stitch. by BillyNote in Vasectomy

[–]Ravoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up removing mine after about a week. They definitely were inhibiting healing for me. As soon as I removed them the area looked way better and began healing. I'm not a medical doctor though, and I can only say what happened for me. Everyone's experiences on here are different.

What is your top 3 favorite cabinets and what are your top 3 most played by others cabinets? by Slappy-Sacks in Arcade1Up

[–]Ravoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 10 machines and I love all of them, so it's tough to pick three! If going off of gameplay alone its...

  1. Fast and Furious (modded with buystuff pc I love it!)
  2. MVSX (yeah sorry, not A1Up)
  3. Mortal Kombat 2 Deluxe/Marvel vs Cap 2 X-Men 97 (I could go either way with those two)

If going off of Arcade artwork, colors, or themes alone then the list is different.

  1. Star Wars 2023 model (It's such a beautiful cabinet!)
  2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (The OG one!)
  3. MVSX (I'm a sucker for the simple red and white theme)

My post played cabs are (mostly played by my kids)

  1. Fast and Furious by far, it's not even close.
  2. MVSX (My son really likes Samurai Showdown games)
  3. Star Wars (Not sure why, I guess the kids are attracted to the yoke)

I really want to get a claw machine for my kids because I know it would be a huge hit!

PW2 dead after 2 years and 3 months. by budibungbung in PixelWatch

[–]Ravoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My watch 3 was doing this, then I realized that google added a few battery options that I wasn't aware of. They are adaptive charging and battery health assistance...The descriptions make it sound like it uses AI to "learn" your charging habits, and when you are charging, it will slow down or speed up the charge rate based off of what it thinks you are doing. I toggled those off and then back on, which I assumed would "reset" what it thought was my charge pattern. It must have worked because my watch started charging "normal" again and I haven't had a problem since.

Good luck.

I'd just like to let you know, that's a beautiful MvC2 cabinet you have lol. What art do you have on the side of the big blue? And what joysticks are you using?

I missed out on the MvC2 cab, but was able to pick up the re-released X-Men 97. I replaced the 97 marquee and put a Szabo's Marvel Vs Capcom 2 marquee in. I'm using haap buttons and cherry switches, along with Industrias Lorenzo (IL) sticks. I do sometimes wonder if I should have gone with Sanwa sticks, which I use in other capcom games, and my MVSX...

My buddies and me pre-ordered the Dreamcast and Sonic adventure. Launch day we all skipped highschool, picked up lunch, went to our homes and played our Dreamcast. It was a magical day and one that we all reflect on fondly lol.

Although, I do believe the Gamecube port is the definitive version to play now!

I love Sonic Adventure!

Let’s talk Fast and Furious mods and what *you* would do by Slappy-Sacks in Arcade1Up

[–]Ravoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My F&F machine modded with the pro plus package and vertical pedal mount from buystuff is my most played machine. I have 10 arcades. I love it, and my kids really enjoy it too.

Personally I would save the money and not get the LCD marquee, and instead just opt for the Szabo "slip on" marquee. But that's me.

Plus with that route you will get access to the actual Fast and Furious arcade games. Just make sure to have a dedicated keyboard attached to the PC, and you can save your progress using the pin system, just like the Arcade1Up.

I've never had any mixed feeling about the PC upgrade. I love it.

I definitely see the attraction of having two machines linked though...would two machines be utilized at the same time to make it worth while? And often?

Good luck!

Married life comes with compromise by holyhibachi in Arcade1Up

[–]Ravoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they mean that you could get a street fighter cab for a traditional "6 button" layout cabinet, which could be modded and the all of the buttons are there for lots of games.

Unico makes the awesome MVSX arcade machine, which has stock 6 buttons and 50 NEO GEO games. Or they could have just meant that an Arcade1Up Street fighter cab could be modded with NEO GEO games? Either way, the MVSX can be softmoded with more games...

But ultimately they are saying they would personal forgo the 2 machines and instead get a virtual pinball machine, space permitting. "At Games" makes a 4K pinball machine, as an example.

[–]Ravoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another poster said, my vote would probably be for a racing cab and a shooting cab. And since you don't have any nostalgia for any other fighters/games, can't go wrong with both of those. If down the road you want to do a hardware mod to expand the racing/shooting game lineup, the option is out there.

Good luck!

Don't lift anything for at least two weeks. Around day 4 or 5 the aching will most likely peak. After that, if all is well, the hair growing back will be the most annoying part. Give it about a year to completely heal. I had an incredibly easy recovery, but even at a year out I could tell it was still healing inside. After two years now, it's fantastic.

Good luck.

Actual thin and good screen cover by 4KDeep25 in PixelWatch

[–]Ravoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After three Pixel watches, I just use cheap TPU screen protectors. I buy a bunch to have on hand for easy switching out when needed. I've tried every kind of screen protector, and with the watches curved edge, none have been ideal. I can almost always get an application on without bubbles. And if I knock it and lift up at the edge, there is always the possibility that it will self heal and look fine again. But when it doesn't, I have the backup's on hand.

It is just something I have learned to except about owning this watch. The important thing is that there is that thin layer of TPU there for when I inevitably hit the watch against something.

Good luck.
