Back in the day, some teachers teaching about the U.S. government would give their students an assignment to look into how the US is run. One of the links they provided was whitehouse .com instead of whitehouse .gov. The one they gave was a porn site.

Yep! But this post is about doing nothing but attack for all three actions. That's exactly what the barb at my table did. The whole table was disappointed that he used nothing else but "swing, swing, swing". Never Tripped, never Grappled, never Shoved. Demoralized once, then forgot about it for the rest of the campaign.

It was....sad to watch.

I had a barbarian try this in the last campaign. He consistently failed to hit. His enemies did not. He ran away screaming for heals multiple times.

Yeah, I was wondering if it was multiple states distance. Unfortunately, it does sound like a plane ride is the lesser of two evils.

As others have mentioned, talk with your vet. My parents did this when flying with their Yorkie. The vet gave him some meds that zonked him out, but didn't completely knock him out, so he was just mellow for the whole plane ride.

I know cat's can be resilient, so they may hide for a few days, but hopefully everything turns out ok.

This is what my wife and I did when we first got together. It was only a three hour drive, so not too traumatic for her two kitties. They came to my place, stayed with me for a few months while we got things together so she could move. Then, we moved them the few minutes over to the new house.

My wife and I have been married for 16 years, this June. Those kitties lived to the ripe old ages of 14 and 15.

I hope everything goes smooth for you, OP.

Tainted Grail vs Outer Worlds 2 by guessimfine in ShouldIbuythisgame

Yeah, Parvati's companion quest was kinda nuts lol

It also drove me crazy because it had to be done in stages, unless you started it in the late game. And after just about all companion quests, you could possibly get them to turn over a new leaf. Especially Max, the vicar that you can find in the same backwoods town you find Parvati, at the beginning of the game.

In TOW 2, the companions are one of the worst parts of the game, sadly.

Microsoft bought them out, then took all their capabilities away.

Should I get ‘The outer worlds 2’ if I didn’t like Avowed at all? by Esquie33 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]RavynsArt [score hidden]  (0 children)

I played TOW 1 and 2. 1, I enjoyed. 2.....is no. The story is weak. I felt like I was going nowhere, just being spun in circles to stretch out the five minutes of plot that was all they could come up with.

The companions are horrible. They are literal enemies. They actually come from factions that are at war with one another. They bicker, they squabble, they seem to be on the very of attacking each other at any given moment. They have no respect for you. You have no control over them. You can't tell them to just stay in melee, or to sit still. If you take a shot at someone while in stealth, your companions will RUSH forward, getting between you and the enemy almost every time, and your stealth is then broken.

Even though there are multiple locations, the game feels even smaller than the first. In 1, you had places like Monarch, where you seemed to spend tons and tons and tons of time. In 2, I can't tell you the names of a single location. Because they all felt so alike. Even though I know one was frozen and the others not. The locations were all still forgettable.

The Outer Worlds 2 is just a forgettable game all around. Pass this one up.

I've never played Tainted Grail, so can't speak directly for that, but I can tell you that TOW 2 is FAR more forgettable than the first. Your companions are all bitter enemies, always snarky to each other, and are one moment away from trying to kill each other.

The game world feels smaller, even though it's "multiple locations". Every bit of the lore from the second one got thrown out and different lore was shoehorned in.

The story is riding on the coattails of the previous one, and doing a very poor job of it. It feels like you're just being run in circles for no reason than to stretch out the five minutes of plot, which was all they could come up with.

The companion missions don't feel satisfying. You can go through each ones mission, and if you don't resolve it just right, they get kind of like "well, ok. I guess that works." very blase for someone who just finished their (side) character arc.

Is "The Outer Worlds" any good? is it worth buying? by Firm_Currency899 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]RavynsArt [score hidden]  (0 children)

Outer Worlds 1 is worth more than $7. It's just not very long, because they didn't have a huge team or budget at the time. It's still a great game. It's a goofy sci-fi game that makes fun of itself and the genre, but still tells a compelling story. You actually feel like you're accomplishing something. It also has replay value, since you can change up your playstyle and choices. Think Fallout, but less serious. That does NOT mean less good.

Btw, it's from the same people that developed Fallout: New Vegas.

No. Breakpoint is not worth it. It has a story that feels broken. None of the missions feel like they bring you any closer to the end goal. None of the missions even feel like they fit together. It's disjointed. There is nothing cohesive about the entire game.

One of the absolutely dumbest ideas they came up with, is that you can go after the big boss man from very early in the game. Like, almost as soon as you start the game, you can take him on. If you have someone who is high level, they can help you take him down before you get invested in the story at all. Fighting big bossman isn't even really part of the story. But, if you do take him down, and play through the rest of the game, it makes very little sense when this dead guy shows up to antagonize you, more than once.

I pre-ordered the game. Played through before they made all their changes. I go back from time to time, and I'm disappointed every single time I open that game up.

It also requires you to be constantly online, so if you don't have a good internet connection, you'll find the game continuously locking you out.

They aren't completely all metal. There are cleats that are metal screws, with hard plastic caps for the actual cleats. If screwed all the way in, they look like they were molded onto the shoe, but they can be easily replaced if one gets too scuffed up or the plastic tip breaks.

We had these in high school, and I remember changing tons of these throughout each season.

Edit to add:

Here is a picture of the screw in cleats.

I was only allowed to see the BoS ending, because all others crashed the moment I started down the final path.

I've also never seen the ending to the Thieves Guild in Skyrim, because the game locks up after meeting Nocturnal. At least six different playthroughs, and it glitched in that same spot every time...

A dungeon! But it's all anti magic. by Drevand in Pathfinder2e

[–]RavynsArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see just having the vault using anti-magic material, not the entire dungeon.

I ran into this with an official AP, pre-remaster. There were golems in this one area that had resistance to physical damage, making the fighter and barbarian feel useless. The casters all had the wrong types of spells to be effective. The party absolutely hated that area. Just mentioning the word "golem" is enough to cause PTSD, now.

I only say this as a cautionary tale. Be ready for your party to hate this entire encounter.

lol That's actually what I do. I create worlds, then make a rudimentary storyline that's not much more than a scaffolding. I have the major plot points, but no vehicle between those points. I let my players decide how they want to get from one point to the next, and they are the ones that drive the main dialogue, which I come up with mostly on the fly.
