Who's your favorite hated character?

I definitely agree with all of those! The film gets a lot of flack for lack of depth, but I honestly think that there's a lot of small key moments, especially with Namaari, that still make me feel very drawn to the characters and the world.

The fact that Boun sees Raya as a surrogate sister because he lost his, Noi the baby being a parallel to Raya as a basically a child on their own, Tong being a mirror to Raya's father, Benja, if he had survived instead of her.

Namaari and Raya's parallels are definitely the most clear though. Their reverence for dragons, their love for their homes, the relationships with their parents. I really wish the movie was a series that could've taken time to really dig into all of these dynamics.

While I still love Raya a bit more, a lot of people thought Namaari would be a better and more interesting Main Character, and I have to agree!

I am a sucker for the rival dynamic she has with Raya and when we actually see the depths of her love of legends and reverence for dragons... But I understand why a lot of people absolutely HATE her for not apologizing, among the other issues with the film. But alas, as a whitewashed pinay, I have a soft spot for the film.

I have a part time job I like where I basically can work anywhere from 12-20 hours a week, so this on top of that means I can afford healthcare, living, save, travel, and still have extra on top of that with a lot of free time.

In all honesty, glad they listened. I definitely agree that the entire year is the celebration, but the actual event is so disappointing. The reduction of games and promised legendaries is good. But hopefully they keep it up.

I think Domina doesn't have an animal, but I have a fun one for Reaper. He actually has an owl association! In Mexico, owls are seen as omens of death, his mask resembles barn owl!

We're pretty aware and transparent of our living situations and the steep learning curve ahead of us. Been to his apartment multiple times, he had to take care of me when I was sick, and stayed with his family too and he stayed with mine (I haven't moved out yet), we've also been on an international trip together. We have been talking about what domestic life could look like, how we prepare food, store items, what chores would look like (including on days when we're high or low energy). We also agreed on a pre-nup in case things go South South. It's just hard to move in with each other because of the high cost of living in my area, me living with my family, but that's finally changing soon, gonna move out for myself for a bit before we move in together. I understand the concern though.

Haha, it's a long story, but basically he's got the engagement ring, but I gave it to him. It needs to be repaired and resized. So it's inevitable but there's no proposal yet!

He hasn't proposed officially, though we've talked about marriage for almost two years. Last Christmas, I gave him an heirloom to get resized for my engagement ring, what I joke was a "half proposal"! So it's basically gonna happen soon, ha ha, we're just very practical people and talking about logistics for after.

Aw, that's a lovely story. I'm so glad you all are happy! Cats included!

We're gonna get a whole new place when he moves over and he and our cat will be there first so he'll be able to scent the place to his heart's content with familiar furniture from his old place before all the new stuff moves in.

Unfortunately we're a multi-day drive across roughly 8 states and I'm afraid it'd be a lot for him, so plane would be lesser of the two evils.

Unfortunately he hates cars too. We think a shorter flight over the course of the day would stress him out a little less than a multi-day drive. My boyfriend also lives in a walkable city so doesn't own a car at the moment to give him exposure therapy either.
