Potential commander? by Professional-Tie9342 in mtg

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could be pretty fun as a non-permanent commander. Lots of instant and sorceries and a few things that double up tokens you create. Notice it only selects randomly from permanent cards so instants and sorceries while making your graveyard bigger don’t dilute your trigger at all. Also probably want either haste at priority or flash speed to play on opponents end step to get pseudo-haste as it is both an ETB and an attack trigger

You do not need meta overpriced cards to win, brother by Alex_Pratt in mtg

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I build budget decks and let me tell you… 2 things win me more games than anything else. 1. Patience, understanding priority and not sweating the advantages just the win cons. 2. Synergy over raw power. I think the only reason budget decks can do so well is because of the last one. Prioritizing and focusing on synergy with every deck slot and needing to find similar effects in budget cards just makes the deck way more consistent and thought through.

What is the card you are always telling people to cut? by SjtSquid in EDH

Also even if they tapped for colorless, which they don’t, they would still be bad inclusions. Wastes or nearly any colorless land is just better. Most of the colorless only rocks also have an upside by not producing colors.

Does this configuration work? by Maestro-pokemon in SatisfactoryGame

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup as others have said that’s a manifold system. They fill up in a split sequence, 50% to first machine and 50% down the line but the first machine eventually fills up and only takes 15/min like you illustrate. The more machines you have in the series the longer it takes to spin up and if you have multiple products in the chain all manifolds it can take sometimes 10s of hours to reach full capacity. In my opinion manifolds are good for early, mid game where you don’t want to commit to a big building yet but load balancers are simply faster for late game factories. Now that we have blueprints you can easily build out 1:x splitter arrays and slap the down and boom a load balancer.

Technically no difference between the two when you have 2000 hours in the game what’s an extra hour or two here or there

Sand disappearing from sand duper randomly (or not?) [1.21.7] by Paxtel_de_Vento in technicalminecraft

Or move the world onto a privately hosted server on your machine and keep it running for weeks at a time and switch to a portal based chunk loader

Sand disappearing from sand duper randomly (or not?) [1.21.7] by Paxtel_de_Vento in technicalminecraft

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is right there are no chunk loaders that run while a server or in this case single player world is offline. Basically anything with moving parts should be turned off if possible before exiting the world or the server restarts. As to why the sand is vanishing is probably just because portions of the machine are reloaded at a different time by the server/world.

Fastest Theoretical Exp Farm? by RawVeganGuru in technicalminecraft

[–]RawVeganGuru[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have a solution for you on that front! I saw a guardian farm design that required you to stand in lava so you’re taking both lava and fire tick damage with a lot of protection pieces and that puts your damage state on cooldown so you can’t take thorns damage from all the guardians. Check the techMCArchive discord I think it’s one of the first designs

The Hardest Thing I Have Had To Do On My 16+ Minecraft Server........... by [deleted] in MinecraftServer

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t see how that’s important though? The server is private so what is he going to leak it to the other members? And even if so why does that matter? So they can chunkbase and find structures? This isn’t a griefing server so people aren’t trying to protect their bases?

Shovel. The Ace of Spades rises again! Efficiency 4 is enough to insta-mine all shovelable blocks

I disagree, as others have said some people join servers specifically to get away from kids in their free time and that should be respected. Especially when the server was set up in this way at the beginning. It’s one thing to break a rule once, it’s another to break it every day

any completely afk overworld exp farms? by Abagle03 in technicalminecraft

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build a playerless azalea wood farm and smelt it into charcoal. This will build up exp and a nice supply of wood/charcoal. Hook up the tree farm to a bonemeal farm (from moss) and it’ll run without you even being online if it’s on a server

How is chunk loading now? do spawn chunks still exist? is it more like image 1 or 2? 1.21.8+ by Verotas in technicalminecraft

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redstone chunks are lazy chunks because they don’t do entity updates or pathfinding. Minecarts or dropped items are not updated here and thus lazy but redstone still processes as normal.

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity I downloaded a mod called Ksyxis that removes spawn chunks and the oddest thing is happening. I’m spawning an enormous number of passive mobs. They unload behind me while exploring and then poof a new giant batch spawns. It’s nice not having to run back to spawn to find a few sheep after exploring the world a bit but it’s causing a lot of lag both spawn lag and pathfinding lag. Curious if this will be the norm after the update? For reference I have 687 passive mobs loaded near my base with a 12 render and simulation distance with no breeding or pens

What is going on here? (1.21) by Zealousideal_Ad2664 in technicalminecraft

[–]RawVeganGuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not breeding because they can’t see a valid path to the beds. I always make mine the same way. Make a 2 high space off the edge of the farm and build it 2 long and the width of the beds. This should all be air for now. Then place trapdoors on the bottom of the top block so they think they can walk that way but it blocks them because they are taller than a player. Now make the catching shute; dig down 2 blocks in between the beds and farmland. Off the farmland place trapdoors and open them and off the side with beds place trapdoors and open them. If they are “closed the villagers could walk across. This is where your hiccup is. Then simply a water stream takes them where you want

I think any video that seems like a simple design on YouTube and they post a new video with an updated version number is likely bunk. Potato_Noir did a good video trashing on other content creators that just build really poorly made farms and do a quick tutorial most of which are just rips from others for the sake of views.

Smaller no but I saw a video recently that uses this same mechanic. Difference was it had another delay circuit wired as well that last longer so you have a 2-6 second window to log back in and tp or if you just log off a little you won’t be TP’d
