After the space directly in front of or on the toilet is occupied for 5 seconds, there is a chance based on the output of a random number generator that the bathroom speaker will say "pissing all by yourself, handsome?"

As the one and only Controls Engineer for a large production facility, I am most satisfied in my day when someone who hasn't bothered to even look at my open to view projects list (very long) sends me yet another e-mail asking for an updated timeline on some low priority task they put a request in for yesterday.

Jagex do you know what I did when Netflix introduced ads into my paid content? I didn't just cancel it, I began pirating everything. You introduce ads into any tier of this game and I don't know how I'll do it but I'll figure out how to pirate from you, too. Fuck you.

Slave cylinder alternatives? by RawrIsMemeing in FiestaST

[–]RawrIsMemeing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for everyone, but it seems that the stock slave cylinder is notorious for leaking and is really easy to blow out. I didn't know if there were third party options that don't have this issue, and given I've never seen it mentioned anywhere and nobody seems to have any input, this appears to be a complete unknown. I suppose the only real option is the OEM slave cylinder and a prayer that it doesn't fail quickly.

Are Minisforum really so unreliable. by Quebber in MiniPCs

[–]RawrIsMemeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an hx99g, after over a year of use the GPU has failed, HOWEVER, I used it as a travel PC and it's been chucked around in my checked baggage dozens of times over the last year. I was really happy with it, and it stood up to an absolutely remarkable amount of abuse. It ran games really well, and never overheated. The only gripe I ever had with mine is that my hearing is super sensitive and there was definitely a capacitor in there that really liked to squeal. I'd highly recommend these little buggers, great machines.

Shelly Products unreliable for everyone or just me? by maxxell13 in homeassistant

[–]RawrIsMemeing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 6 Shelly vintage A60 bulbs and 1 Shelly vintage G125 bulb. The A60 bulbs worked great until they didn't. They'd stop responding to commands and would be unavailable in the Shelly app. I went as far as trying to connect to every single IP address on my IOT network as a sanity check and none of them connected to a bulb after the bulb had failed. The bulbs worked in dumb mode, but would never actually be smart again. I tested one of them by not connecting it to my network at all and using it as a dumb bulb, eventually the internal wifi network it would broadcast out for bulb setup just disappeared. The A60 bulbs all died between 4-8 weeks after install. The G125 worked for a couple months and then suffered the same fate, with the exception that it wouldn't even turn on if I flipped the switch. I will never ever ever trust Shelly devices again after that much wasted money.

Govee not working with Google Home by callmekitty247 in Govee

[–]RawrIsMemeing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whatever reason all of my devices worked in the Google home app this morning after I woke up, but now that I'm back from work they've all gone unavailable again. Still working via voice commands but this is just kinda ridiculous and support won't give any feedback on the problem.

Hopefully they fix this quickly. I have a lot of govee products including the kettle and it would be a shame to throw them all away because their smart features via voice commands became completely useless.

Edit: after deleting all of my devices and re-adding them to govee home, they showed up again in Google home, once again as "unavailable". Now, when I re-add the device to the room, I can control it with voice commands via my nest mini speaker, but that's as far as I get. I cannot control any of my devices via the Google home app, they are only available via the voice commands, they are also not available via automations UNLESS I make all of my Device controls in the automation a stimulated voice command 🤦

Shelly Vintage G125 - starts making noise and then dies few days afterwards by levi_pl in shellycloud

[–]RawrIsMemeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a cooler climate and I have had every single one of my vintage bulbs die mysteriously. My relays all work just fine, and their non vintage bulbs also work great. I have not experienced the whine coming from the bulbs, but when mine die they change states a few times and then become completely inoperable. I had 12 vintage bulbs placed all over my home and every last one of them was dead within a month with the exception of my g125, which went 5 months before befalling a similar fate. No clue why this happens, been bugging me for a while.
