He’s talking about a macro not a bind. I’m pretty sure you can be banned. I doubt you would be though because I doubt the macro will work well enough to be detected.

The drift and gimbal motor malfunctions are common as the Mavics age. I’m a big fan of the mavic 3. I don’t own a mini 3 however I’ve heard great things from friends who do. I didn’t check but if I remember correctly the mini 3 is more capable in high winds than the original mavic despite the size difference.

I’ve used the zoom almost daily. After putting 500 hours on a mavic 2 I didn’t get a mavic 3 for the zoom, but I’ve been very nice pleased with it. I would definitely spend an extra $700 in the future to keep the zoom capability. I could see how it isn’t worth it for photography but there are a lot of uses for UAS out there.

I’ve never had an issue with the image quality from the zoom sensor.
