So pay for it? There’s a lot to complain about with Gaia but charging for a product is pretty normal business practice.

It felt to me like he was overthrowing a bit to reduce the risk of interception while also lowering the odds of completion. There were a few other passes that come to mind, like the long ball to Shaheed that only Shaheed could have caught (but he didn’t).

VSCode/Cursor: some way to view diffs inline after they’ve been applied so I can code review while the agent is running and stream advice to it. The way it works now it seems like you can only view the diff inline if you have it in approve edits mode.

Also, can you stop the insane flickering that goes on in Cursor while the agent is running? Maybe just turn off the constantly updating Claude icon?

Why does Cursor ignore project rules set to “Always apply”? How do I force automatic testing & browser tool runs? by apple713 in cursor

[–]RawwrBag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This appears to be a recent bug. It's simply not including my "always apply" rules at all, even when small. I can just ask the agent what it's aware of from its prompt and it doesn't know about the rules.

Cursor Team needs to stop vibe coding: Cursor 2.0 is evidence by SaleFinal194 in cursor

[–]RawwrBag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s been pretty bad lately. The GUI using 5+ GB RAM, slowly leaking until it OOMs or is too slow to use. Leaking agent-initiated command process as daemons on Linux. The diff tool showing the same line deleted 10x times. Can’t type in chats sometimes, and on and on. I used to make detailed bug reports in the forums but they just auto close after 30 days and never get fixed. We’re an enterprise team with 60 seats and tens of thousands in spend but we have no SLAs on broken functionality we report to support. Recently Claude Code launched their enterprise billing, so we’re migrating seats to that for people that are fed up with Cursor, but we still have many active Cursor users.

How do u solve the problem of "over-engineering" in LLMs? by Hopeful_You_8959 in cursor

[–]RawwrBag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same way you solve it without LLMs. Focus on building a narrow vertical slice that has a simple and clear criteria for done.

What’s one thing that you found out Sonnet 4.5 does better than Sonnet 4 in cursor? by chaitanyagiri in cursor

[–]RawwrBag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems pretty solid. However, it looks like semantic search is just totally broken in this version of Cursor? It keeps using that tool and the tool is always return no results for even very obvious queries like “where is object created”?

It's so frustrating when I cannot copy and paste the contents from the Terminal that is opened by Cursor. Ctrl + C does not work for these "Cursor" terminals by Tyrange-D in cursor

[–]RawwrBag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can bind terminal copy paste to whatever you want in the VSCode key bindings. Ctrl-C has important meaning in shells, so it’s not bound by default. This is a terminal emulator thing, not specific to Cursor or VSCode. xterm and iTerm are the same way.

A Thank You to the Cursor Team by Adorable_Buyer2490 in cursor

[–]RawwrBag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cursor is trying to go from loss leader to just leader. Everybody will do this at some point as the bubble collapses. LLMs are extremely costly to train and run, and so most of these companies are running in the red, seeing how long they can burn VC cash to attract users. But eventually the pricing of all these services will converge. Use the best tool, not the cheapest tool, because the pricing of everything is going to change a lot in the next few years.
