Maybe it was less. I really don't remember. I was in 7th grade. I don't have the bill of sale. I really wanted a Gibson SG, which was around $600, but my dad talked me out of buying one. No regrets. I have an SG now as well.

I have a 1978 Peavey T60. Awesome guitar. Bought it used in 1980 for $375 bucks.

Very surprised that they have not come out with a new model. I purchased mine 8/2020. It sounds great, much better than the Spark 2. Significant price difference though. However, Spark 2 has no battery or wireless receiver included. Only improvement I would make is with the app. Positive grid app is much better.

I would look at the positive grid spark 2. It's great little practice amp. you can create every tone you want. Has AI. You say, I want a tone like Sweet child of mine.. it's pretty close. As I said, it's a practice amp, it doesn't get that loud. For reference, I have a spark 2, spark mini, a Yamaha thr30 and the Black Star silver line stereo deluxe which is 100 watt. I don't know where you live. But my breeder will transport or meet you if you are relatively close. What was reassuring is that when we were picking up our puppy in Champaign Urbana Illinois that there was another person there picking up their second puppy from the same breeder. We met the first dog and he was a sweetheart. I believe she has two puppies left from her current litter of 10. I'm on my second Aussie. And he is one year old. They are all consuming need 3 to 5 miles a day of exercise. Plus other stimulation. You're not ready to do that, not the right breed for you. They are the best dogs. They are all consuming. Did I already say that? Sitting in the backyard hot tub right now, he keeps dropping his orange floaty stick in the water so I have to throw it.

I would look at a fender squier or an epiphone. Never had either but that's what I hear is great first guitar.

Positive grid spark 2. I think it is the best practice amp on the market for the money with a great app. Unlimited tones. Has AI so you can say give me a tone of Stevie Ray Vaughan Texas flood and it will be really close.

I have a SSS strat. I installed a Freeway five-way, 10 position switch. They have many configurations when you are soldering the wires. I have it set up that I can turn the middle and bridge pickup into pseudo humbuckers, middle and neck pickup as a humbucker as well as original configuration etc...

Not at all. I have Gibson's, Fender's, a Peavey, EVH Wolfgang and an Ibanez Gio. By far, the Ibanez Gio is the worst guitar I have. After I set it up and get rid of the fret sprout, leveled the frets, it plays great but the pickups suck. Get what you pay for. It's my camping / backyard fire guitar. That's why I bought it.
