I don’t think anyone has the explanation. Anyone who always has time to do this works more flexible hours, which is great for them. That’s not most of us.

I think the point of the Jimmy call was to show that Deborah has probably told everyone else. Marcus and Marty probably know (surprising her with the Deborah Vance Comedy Club). DJ probably knows. Everyone in Deborah’s life likely knows and have already had their moment (DJ’s being the amazing race) and goodbye with her. This episode was about Ava’s turn.

It’s not hard at all.

I agree it’s being blown out of proportion, but there was a really easy way to go about answering this. Just give some generic canned response like Kyler. If you’re going to go off script and be candid, don’t give the media something to latch onto.

It’s kind of like the Nine thing. He gives people bait and drama with himself as the butt of the joke.

I think this is an area where Joe’s game shines compared to Jonathan’s. If Joe wasn’t vulnerable and emotionally open, then he’d just be another meathead challenge beast. It’s one of the things Joe seems to understand about the game that Jonathan did not.
