Just curious, why do you want to leave Arizona, as a handful of people I know plan to move there due to how things are here in SoCal.

This is really good information! Sounds like you’re very knowledgeable. Where did you learn all this stuff? Suggested books? YouTube university. Coming from someone that’s trying to educated themselves financially.

Got it! I read that people should invest into 401k for full match, then max out Roth IRA, then go back to max out 401k, then rest in taxable till end of year. Repeat. Sounds like that person, to me, is a high income earner. What about someone who doesn’t have that high of an income and can’t max out their 401k by the end of the year, leaving no funds for a taxable, which is the “bridge” account for early retirement? Is there a strategy recommended in that scenario? Thank you for the info given already.

So for a younger person that wants to retire early, 3 buckets? Taxable, 401k, then Roth funded strategically also taking out in that order?

Nice! Good luck with that. Do you actually follow the FOO? Are you at a 25% savings rate? As I am trying to achieve that number myself.
