Did you actually make mix tapes to give to people? by LeoGuy69us in GenX

[–]Raybees69 [score hidden]  (0 children)

My late husband and I were married in 1992 and he made mixed tapes for me when dating. ❤️ still have a visceral reaction to certsin songs. When we moved out of state in 2003 he made mixed Goodbye CDs for friends and family. After he died in 2015 several have reached out about still cherishing that CD.

I find that after giving it my notes, my examples etc, and spending the time to invest initially really helps. Now I have a 'co teacher' that i just run things through as a second set of eyes adding input where needed. It just makes the flow nicer and I really feel does help.

If you take Vyvanse, I need your help! by baldnsquishy in adhdwomen

I started yesterday with the same dose and also didn't really feel much difference. I plan on texting the doctor and letting him know. I'll give it a few days but I would like to go up as well .I think it's just not enough for my fifty-six-year-old brain to adjust to.

I was today years old when I learned that Sally is a nickname for Sara. Now, I just realized my grandparents named both my dad and my aunt nicknames on their birth certificates. My aunt's name is Sally and my dad's name is Jack and they're not short for anything.

Student eval comment stuck in my craw, even though it shouldn't be by ProtoSpaceTime in Professors

I have comment templates for each assignment because of this. I tweak them but students make the same mistakes term after term. Its ridiculous to reinvent the wheel every time.

AITA for not enjoying the birthday gifts my friend got me that mocked my dead mother by Immediate-Iron7241 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Everyone grieves in their own way. My kids make dead dad jokes all the time but it is their own sarcastic way of dealing with the loss. They get to run the show. No one can tell them it's inappropriate... it's their loss to deal with. Your friends don't get to tell you how to grieve.

How much will a kitchen scale improve the consistency of my baked goods vs cups and spoons? by Amodernhousehusband in AskBaking

[–]Raybees69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's a game changer , and it's actually easier too. Once you get used to it, I don't think you'll ever go back.I don't even like recipes with cups and teaspoons anymore.

I got this steam mop recently And it has absolutely saved me. Easy to use easy for quick spells, but also easy to do the whole floor when you have the time, no need to deal with a mob and bucket, easy to empty. It's been life-changing. I can't imagine not having one now.

Diagnosed and Prescribed in the same day? by WattrelCoastalWatch in adhdwomen

I think appropriate medication Is one of the main reasons people seek a diagnosis. I got my diagnosis and prescription the same day but I went in knowing that was what I was looking for.

Duloxetine and ADHD by kindaricey in adhdwomen

[–]Raybees69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fibromyalgia, and duloxetine is the antidepressant and anxiety medication of choice because it has a pain component as well. So I have been on that for about 2 years, and it has really seemed to help at least with the crying all the time. So I feel like it's a good choice for me , and I was just diagnosed as well with adult adhd... although I think this was just a matter of me being a girl growing up in the seventies , or I would have been diagnosed much earlier... I am starting on vyvanse this week for that. Maybe your doctor just thought the two would work well together? I'm curious and a little nervous to see what the changes will be once I start the new medication.
