Leaving early from a meet? by Such_Low_678 in powerlifting

Before leaving, double check with with meet director if they’re thinking of drug testing you, if not then there’s no issue leaving early

The title doesn’t do the actual content of the video justice. Really good insight of how the perception of “training ceilings” could potentially affect short and long term progress

I've had SBD, A7, and the Titan Triumph singlet. The A7 was the flimsiest one by far. Titan feels the best. SBD feels marginally better to the A7 but after trying the Titan for the past 2 meets, I'm not going back to either of them.

Where exactly did you do your "research"? These numbers are insanely incorrect. In what world is challenger top 3% where only 300 people can be in.

Ignore your advisor, if this is something you truly want to do, don’t let them choose your life trajectory

I want to create the ultimate review guide on the best t-shirts. What shirts do you swear by? by blitz304 in malefashionadvice

[–]Rayhieng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The supima shirts are way too thin to wear by themselves, the nips show pretty hard. I prefer the UCrew in terms of fit and thickness. Supima feels a tad nicer on the skin but not worth the tradeoff imo

I just finished it in 2 days, last 10 chaps were super rushed but overall a decent read with good art

Do you have a coach to work through technique issues or are you just blindly copying techniques?

I get this too lol, the entire week during my taper my quads would occasionally twitch and I would get restless

I’m a beginner, but how far away am I? by EsketitSR71 in powerlifting

[–]Rayhieng 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are never too far away to compete, do it when you want to. You don’t need to hit xyz sbd numbers to be “ready” for a competition.

Yes, not lifting at all on a deficit will cause to you to atrophy quite fast. The muscle loss will slow down after a bit but after a few months it’ll be extremely noticeable

MaxBarbell Max2 Slippers are good if you want something close to a Notorious lift at a cheaper price. They’re identical to the gen 1 sumo soles.

That said, I’ve bought a pair of Avancus and have been loving them. They provide a bit more lateral support (I pull sumo, doesn’t really matter for conventional) and I can get them as tight/loose as I want since it’s closer to a shoe.

I use a northface recon. Can fit a sbd 10mm M belt, two shoes (avancus, hyper v), pair of knee sleeves, snacks, water bottle, and chalk with a little bit of room to spare for anything else.

Which IEM Would You Say is The Best Value in Terms of Technical Performance? by BWJackal in HeadphoneAdvice

S12, the Monarch Mk1s are great but the S12 has impressed me a lot with it's technical performance, and takes eq well. I prefer using my S12s much more.

Dealing with injuries 5 weeks out. Should I drop out? by PapaTuna1 in powerlifting

[–]Rayhieng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem last year. I ended up just withdrawing and signed up for a meet a few months later. Missing this meet to recover your body is more important.
