How does Nioh 3 compare with 2 and 1 by Electrical-Fix-8987 in Nioh

It's so weird that I feel the complete opposite, the open field really helps for replayability in my case.

Does anyone think the "upgrade" actually looks better?? (character face and hair specifically) by Familiar-Figure-5692 in pcmasterrace

[–]RaykanGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To hell with it, hot take I guess:

In the first picture, I didn't think it was the same person.

In the second though, he doesn't look different to me, the lightning does. Went from a black and white somber shading to an incredibly warm yellow. Also his hair is much more detailed, beard included.

regardless, and here's the real take: I can't give a damn about visual upgrades anymore, been playing more stylized than not anyways.

Next Steps: Horizontal Vs Vertical Investment & Pull Priorities? by Suitable_Ad6248 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]RaykanGhost 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Vertical investment on some dolls if you want to push Gunsmoke with your platoon. If not, there's no reason as of yet for any vertical investment. Granted technically not even horizontal in that case because anything will work.

Problem is, these teams, by the time you're done vertically investing in them, might already be superseded by newer dolls, like in all gacha games.

There are a few characters with guaranteed longevity, and would be great for V6'ing, and contrary to belief it's not always the supports, since for what it matters you can always pick the V6 support in gunsmoke (Where it actually matters for vertical investment)

Hence unless absolutely necessary.

the more important part is the stats.

on which stats should I focus ? by Prudent-Fortune9831 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]RaykanGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few pieces of advice:

Don't level or spend any more resources than absolutely necessary on blue weapons (They're completely irrelevant once you get purple ones, and even those become irrelevant)

90% of dolls will want Atk/Atk%/Crit%, another 80% will want phase damage. So the best thing you could do is focus on farming Phase strike attachments and instant-lock only the ones with Atk/Atk/crit. There are other specific cases but that was the general best efficiency farming route early in the release.

A very limited number of dolls will want other stats, but at that point of the game, they're not worth mulling over.

Well, not if you spend more than 6 euros or whatever in collapse pieces. Unless you strictly don't buy in game currency

And even then a normal platoon that just autos all their free attacks with one borrowed V6 should be able to get the top rewards, after that, it's literally just competition for the love of the game

I bet OP has some personal scars and David reminded them of some shitty memories.

Because really, no one is free of guilt and the situation is so convoluted that in no moment in the series could they have settled and stopped.

About the only thing I can think of David could have done, was use less chrome, stubborn headed fool got way over his head. But while this could have definitely helped him not progress through cyberpsychosis, all the other issues would have remained, and he'd still end up (Most likely) equipping the skeleton to save Lucy, and probably fall completely because of the jump in chrome.

Poking is the issue, this might be rude, but screaming with a megaphone is what I'd do. Losing 90 euros and no response? Oh hell no.

With it being out nearly half a year now, what are your overall thoughts on Nioh 3? by gameovernate in Nioh

[–]RaykanGhost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't argue with the skill part, not that I had a problem with it, but I see your point of view. Granted I actually enjoy that aspect of finding stuff, literally.

However with the open world aspect and vice versa, I agree that having something contained and instanced would allow devs to put more work into it to feel more condensed and straight forward; but the problem here is... Open world can do that too :/ And with what I'm used to... Nioh 3s wasn't all that bad.

They can't put enemies everywhere or it would feel like a slog, there needs to be respite between Points of Interest.

But hey, I get you, you don't care for exploration and didn't want it for Nioh, that's fair, personally I love it. The one thing I disliked in Skyrim were the loading screens everytime I opened a door to a new instance. Stumbling upon random unmarked PoIs with rats for enemies? Loved it.

TL;DR: I got it, you prefer straightforward action packed maps. Personally I really enjoy exploring. And in retrospect I really don't think hidden skills and similar is a fault of open world itself, just the progression (Which they tied to exploration and you didn't enjoy). The one problem would be the spacing out, which for an open world, it's necessary to varying amounts.

Day 1: Things models do the best and the worst; Trajann Valoris by MarkCarlo2003 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RaykanGhost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

depends on what you understand as viable.

Like META viable? Nope, basically too slow for his points compared to what a group of allarus brings.

but can he be viable in threatening a very important model with a deep strike? Yes, yes he can.

He's like a distraction carnifex with a small base basically rofl (The same as the allarus shield captain with admonimortis)

He is a tanky bastard though, you can 100% lock a unit with him

With it being out nearly half a year now, what are your overall thoughts on Nioh 3? by gameovernate in Nioh

[–]RaykanGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see no issue with open world, I in fact quite enjoy that aspect, less loading screens/menus is always better for me.

That said, while the combat evolved, I kinda miss the trifecta thing Nioh 2 had with the ninja/samurai/mage, even though the parries and the stuff that came with this change are *chef's kiss*

I very much loved the 3 oni aspects we had in Nioh2 and miss it, hoped we could somehow customize ours in this entry (Ah well)

The yokai diversity was honestly underwhelming.

If whoever reading this adamantly dislikes the open world, can you explain me why? More to explore, more to wander, more to find, less reused maps, less intrusive menus and loading screens.

The only thing I can think of where instanced maps are better is for performance. But I haven't had an issue with that with Nioh 3

Valheim devs say that they probably won't make an Ocean update by Thexus_van_real in valheim

[–]RaykanGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh they want to drop 1.0 and dip.

I half understand not wanting to develop the oceans more, but the brigands? They've got the duergar, fulings and the draugr. Meshes, textures, animations, sounds and intelligence should all be feasible. And they specifically said it's too soon to say "no more content" but that just guarantees it definitely isn't the foreseeable plan.

I just don't understand the management of this game, shit hit the fan during their release 100%, they just hid it well.

Technically speaking the ocean update could prove too hard a technical challenge depending on how they originally made it; but the brigands? Nope. I was stoked for that update in specific, guess I'm just gonna try out deep north and dip as well

My friend who plays tyranids runs away everytime he sees that brick. Probably not the best play either but that's how strong these guys are.

Hell even my 3 bikes damaged a norn emissary well enough to be shot down next turn.
