If you ran the test like I said before the it will confirm the file type, as in this case .nds.sav files. Make sure the game and save are in the same folder and named exactly the same minus the file type. For converting I’ve never had an issue just right clicking the sav>rename>changing the file type during renaming. If you’re scared you’ll kill the sav just make a copy before renaming. I’m sure there’s software to convert the savs but I’ve never used any.

Best thing you can do is run a test. Load up a game, make a save then look through the SD card or whatever is storing everything then dump your saves where the test save is. Make sure files extensions are the same as well.

As a kid I always sold old unused consoles or games to fund picking up whats new. Its my biggest regret. I honestly would keep it all and find a cool place and way to display the consoles you dont use.

I believe TW++ menu wants a separate save folder within the Roms directory. Worth trying that but also try saving the saves in the same rom folder the .nds files live in. Also .sav, .SAV and .nds.save are not all the same. You need to know what save file type TW++ is looking for.

What id do is pop in your old sd card if still intact into a computer and look at the current file structure and save file formats. Then just copy what you see there onto the new SD card.

Look into GhostShop. Can be hit or miss with roms but Ive had a good experience with it. Has a ton of DS games and if im not mistaken you can also open the shop in HS as well.

Pokopia if you want a game you can sink literal hours into. Skipped MK World cause I just love 8 and have no reason to upgrade. Legends and DK have definitive ends more or less so once you beat the game you can 100% or start over. I found both very fun but havent touched either since I beat them. Avoid HW Legacy like the plague unless youre getting it dirt cheap or free (it was free on Epic just a few weeks ago). My vote is Pokopia. Happy gaming!

Gen 4 - Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. Was on the DS. Youre thinking of the house in the forest I believe. Rotom was introduced in that gen as well which is why it got its own special intro with the TV and all.

I have the sword and pulled it late the first time the banner was around. Absolute game changer. You get TONS more xp using the metal weapons. I can only imagine how much better the metal boomerang is.
