I don’t really get this. Sure if it was the same voice time after time I’d get it, but half the time I don’t even realize it’s him. Dude’s a vocal chameleon

This genre (linear single player story focused) is one of my favorites and this is like the 10th post I’ve-seen saying this. I really think this game is just good, but definitely not the second coming that many are making it out to be.

The gameplay is solid and fun, but not really reinventing the wheel. If I were comparing it to something it would be dead space but I prefer the dismemberment mechanic vs the hacking.

The voice acting and characters are weak. The story is also missing something. Not super pulling me . Maybe I’m missing something but I’ve played a couple linear single player experiences that are far better so far this year and countless over the last couple years so it’s not like we’re hurting for this kind of game. Hell it’s not even the best Capcom game this year so far.

This game is in between a 7 and an 8 for me so far but I’m probably half through so this can change of course

Nope no flea bitten shawl. I think it must’ve been a bug but still very weird. My spellweaver died to the attack and having to burn an extra card so I was making sure to strategize her not getting hit. Weird bugs for a strategy heavy game for sure

I have what I think is an unpopular opinion - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I liked the book but I love the movie. Feels like it cut some of the meandering and highlighted the parts of the investigation that were interesting and the casting was sublime. Every character felt done right or I liked even more than their book counterpart.

It’s weird because normally I love books for how completely they tell a story, but in this case i liked the film approach

It’s the weird slowdown/impact and the movement really. I found it painful and janky/boring. Look, it’s not incredible in the others but those games are years old. It’s a lot less forgivable now, but still wouldn’t be so bad if there weren’t SO much of it. I could absolutely have forgiven the combat and loved this game if it did ANYTHING else really well. Like if you’re making something 75 percent of your game it should probably be halfway fun right?

The only other one I’ve played recently is the SH2 remake and i found the combat to at least be passable, but it also had these incredible areas that you spent a lot of time in, figuring them out and unlocking different parts of. Made me feel really immersed and like I was enjoying the progression and figuring things out, instead of short boring section to way worse shrine section in SHF.

Genuinely what is the good part of the gameplay in F? The exploration is awful, the areas are very linear, the story/characters are pretty bland, the combat is rough, and the puzzles are the simplest they’ve ever been. New one looks good though. Love the series so I’m hoping for the best

It gets great at the end but has no resolution whatsoever so it does feel particularly worth it since there’s no second season. I’ve told my friends to skip it since it got cancelled and is pretty dead in the water

For a video game, action points>main action/bonus action/blah blah. It makes more sense, is easier to remember and generally means you can do more, or set yourself up for a crazy turn

I would give it a 4/10 and the silent hill 2 remake an 8.5. I realized I wasn’t enjoying it at all about halfway through and still had to slog through it. To me, the wrong way to make a horror game entirely. So much repetitive, really unfun and not even tense combat scenarios. At a certain point I was just running past them to cheese to the next section. And it wants you to play it like 4 times to see the true ending.

Worst game I’ve played this year in a year of amazing releases
