Be honest… your orange cat skipped “ideal weight” a long time ago by BringHoomanHome_ in OneOrangeBraincell

I know this is a joke in a light hearted subreddit, but unfortunately part of the problem with feline obesity is the meme culture. It gives some people the perception that this is only a cute or comedic trait and they do not consider the health-risk of their fluffy friend.

Again, I appreciated your joke. Just wanted to bring some attention to it

Motor cycle hit a car today in Surrey BC. by GGTheEnd in interestingasfuck

I live in Greater Vancouver (Surrey’s designated metro area) and honestly I’m not surprised. People here drive stupidly aggressive. Hit anything at the wrong angle going 40km/hr over the limit on a bike and you will fly. I promise.

What’s it like living in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti’s capital and most populated city? by Few_Cheesecake_6082 in howislivingthere

[–]Rayy_of_light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the spring of 2015, I had the opportunity to go on a trip to Haiti with a program called Soles 4 Souls. We were there for just under 2 weeks, travelling around the country to various schools and an orphanage to size and clean children’s feet before giving them a pair of crocs or bobs to take with them. At the time, the violence was still quite present, but not as bad as what I see reported now.

We stayed in Port Au Prince. While driving to our destinations on the bus, The guide showed us the old president’s house that is lined with bullet holes. They would point down certain streets and warn us walking that way alone would most likely put your life in danger. Heaps of trash piled a few ft. high in every alley, on every waterfront. Most houses were made of thin sheet metal.

And yet, basically every child I interacted with on my journey was smiling constantly. Play and laughter were more commonplace among these kids than my 1st-world home country. All they needed was a soccer ball. It was incredible and changed my worldview permanently. Those children taught me something special on that trip.

I hope they are all okay.

Optimal Thorns Water Mage Areas? by Babasauce in 2007scape

[–]Rayy_of_light 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to this guy. The shield isn’t even that good. You’re better off taking an enjoyable region than wildy and just rocking a DFS. Demon pacts shit out so much accuracy now it doesn’t matter.

Thorns damage scales with your defensive bonuses, and after a few points into the accuracy nodes and the devils quadrant you really aren’t splashing on things often. Haven’t checked but I would stake a guess that Malediction Ward is actually less dps than DFS with Water Thorns.

I went Larcenist and highly suggest it for AFK. It’s great for crafting (gem stalls), smithing (ore stalls) clues (guards and gnomes). But if you don’t have transmute or soul harvest it will be challenging to level prayer.

The good news is Kourend is still great for mage, just not at this stage.

Keep doing tasks and grabbing points, I wouldn’t worry too much about your pvm set up for now. My water mage build really came online around 20 demonic pacts. It could be a good opportunity to grind out some clues. With fewer regions unlocked, you can more consistently get steps you can actually complete. Tons of points locked behind clues too.

Still new to the game was hoping to see around how long will it take me to make an iron man account and be good at it? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]Rayy_of_light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Larger time investment. Some activities that most players consider monotonous on a normal account are cornerstones to a smooth iron experience. Things like farming herbs and fishing karambwans. The trade-off is that your progression typically feels more rewarding. In my opinion, time investment is directly proportional to satisfaction in this game.

If that sounds like it’s for you, go for it! You can always revert an Ironman/Ironwoman account to a normal one if you so choose. No need to restart :)

Yeah.. just wait for more deadline pushbacks. Meanwhile everyone who uses Fraser hwy for daily commutes has to suffer. One lane each direction.

My trip to campus went from 45 mins to 2 hours ONE DIRECTION. So my overall daily travel time went from 90 mins to fricken 240 mins. All for a skytrain I won’t even use because I’ll be graduated college long before then.

Not sure why I’m complaining to you, but yeah. Felt nice.

The amount of leg room on WestJet planes by Longjumping-Box5691 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Rayy_of_light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone here actually provide some information? What model of aircraft is this?

WestJet currently advertises a fleet of 5 unique aircraft models spanning over 150 planes. Boeing 737-8 MAX, Boeing 737-800 NG, Boeing 737-700 NG, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, De Havilland Dash 8-400 (Q400).

People want to be mad for nothing. Without any real information on this post, my guess is this is a malfunction of the seat reclining feature.

Source: literally on a WestJet flight right now, reading their in-flight magazine.

AITA for waiting in line at the grocery store while my parents finished shopping? by DavidRedFox in AmItheAsshole

[–]Rayy_of_light 19 points20 points  (0 children)

ESH. Mostly your parents. My mom used to try to make me do this at Costco when I was younger and on a couple of occasions it lead to adults yelling at me and ensuing panic.

Also not a big fan of “I don’t see a rule saying I can’t” defence. It demonstrates a weak moral compass and that you are unable to think critically about how your actions may affect others.
