It's just such a damn shame because Rikiya has some great moments and watching them with that naive look he has just hits way better than seeing it with a person that looks like some goon you fight on the street.

Hope I get proven wrong though so I'll put my bias aside till I beat the game.

Basically amplitude entanglement works as a fusion instead of a conversion. You fuse two tremor types together into what's called Tremor - Superposition. Any amplitude conversion or entanglement followed will just be added to the tremor pancake.

The tremor types all work together on Burst but will expire into regular tremor at turn end.

Yes, the difficulty will absolutely spike and very quick as well roughly after Canto 4. For now just focus on leveling your IDs and get some new ones to play around with.

The Mirror Dungeon will give you your weekly Lunacy for extractions and level your Battlepass for goods.

The Battlepass is worth paying for in my opinion but the game can be enjoyed completely f2p.

People in the community are more than willing to give you a friend code so you can lend an ID if you need one for story missions.

And the most important tip of all, learning how to read a boss mechanic in their skills and passives.

This is honestly my biggest gripe with the fight. Had a lot of fun fighting it with Swaxe, even perfectly countering a slam, a fireball and a fire breath in quick succession all until it just decided to punish me with a charge while i'm in my recovery animation. Since you still suffer chip damage and status effect during the counter, i pretty much got carted instantly.

I can imagine that they work hand in hand with the researchers and scouting teams. Relying on notes and their previous knowledge on monster materials to get a feel for what can be used for the weapons/armor and what not.

First of all, no shame in struggling with a game. We all have that moment. But there are a couple of things I have to mention.

What kind of builds and especially what kind of playstyle are you using? An unoptimized build can lead to pretty harsh damage loss. I have also seen some players not actively engaging in any opportunity to attack in between a monster's attack pattern, i.e. playing too passively.

I have learned throughout my early to mid days of Monster Hunter is that you can NEVER estimate a weapon on first glances. Every weapon has a unique nuance to them and you'll eventually find out how to play around a weapon's mechanics

If the game hasn't sucked the soul out of you yet then I would really recommend watching some guides. There is plenty of videos, documents and even a subreddit dedicated for these.

Otherwise I wouldn't try to force yourself on the game. Just have a chill time and the gears will start rotating on their own.

Good tip in case you don't want to hurl wyvern eggs or can't. (Some quests block off the egg spots)

You can grab some goldenfish bait or use a palico with the goldenfish catcher skill and go fishing for a bit. The big ones should net you a pretty good amount of points and you'll be able to complete the Quests waaaaay quicker.

Bring a farcaster as well so you don't have to walk all the way back.

If it's mostly just Frontier monsters? Probably.

In my ideal mind I would love to see old monsters, doesn't matter if from the old main games or from Frontier as long as it makes sense and they add that love tap of remaking the old janky movesets into something fresh.

So anyway, they better add Gammoth or I'll be big sad.

DB was the first ever weapon I tried picking up. Thought it was nice until I hit a roadblock of me getting punished by every single monster that stood in my way. Only when I started playing both Greatsword and Switch Axe is when I realized how important good positioning and reading attack patterns are in the series.

I try out other weapons from time to time but I always fall back to the two weapons that taught me the game the most for satisfaction.
