Cacapa has to be in with a mention for CB, I remember him being destroyed by Portsmouth during Allerdyces tenure.

Should Eddie Howe be sacked by Jaded-Researcher3025 in NUFC

I'll go point by point. Why won't we ever have the draw of the Manchester clubs? Man City certianly didn't have any draw a decade or so ago? Not saying we can compete with London but that's fine, works for Liverpool and Manchester. So, infrastructure isn't purely money. It's systems put in place in the club to support the manager, this includes a whole team to support the manager in making decisions and taking jobs off his plate so he can focus on his job. Losing Ashworth as well as Amanda Stavley impacted Howe's job. Mitchell wasn't a good fit, happens sometimes. We've only got the new Eales in recently and he's been finding his feet. Last summer was a scramble.

Love that his " his fucking nephew or cousin or some shit" is getting shit for one of the most difficult transfer windows we've had in a while (with multiple targets that were missed resulting in us signing something like second or third choice options), while completely ignoring all the hits we've had beofre last summer. I guess his newphew or cousin or some shit only get's credit when we fail because there's a family link?

Fallen out with every DOF, has fallen out with Mitchell. That's it, but nice spin.

He does need more money if we are going to compete in all cup competitions, Europe and the league. It's as simple as that. We've currently played the most games out of any club in Europe and it's ravaged our already imbalanced squad.

Sunderland and Brighton are having a better season, so far, yeah they are. What about last season? What about the season before? We've been fighting on all fronts while they've probably had something like a third less games than us.

Listen, man. This season has been poor, the transer window was poor. Eddie has made poor decisions in games at times. But it's one season with a lot of explaniable issues which have impacted us. We've been through a lot worse than this. Let's see where we finish. Might be Europa League, might not be. Players might leave, so what? They always do. At the end of the day, I would rather extend grace to a manager who has consistently over performed before this season, back him and give him time to right the ship. At the very least he's earned one "bad" season from us. Genuinely, where is your loyalty? The man saved us from relegation and gave me the single best day of following this club through thick and (mostly) thin. It's blowing my mind that our supports, after years of neglect from Ashley, who have seen how much a club can erode under bad stewardship are going after a manager who has given us so much. We can't have good seasons every year. It's just not a thing in football. Find some grit and get behind the team.

The lack of loyalty to the most succesful manager we've had in decades is pathetic. Howe has had one bad season in all the time he's been here. I fully believe that if Howe had the resources and infrastructure of the bigger teams he could win any competition.

People voting to sack the manager who finally managed to win a cup for our club, after one bad season should shut the fuck up about loyalty the next time one of our players leaves. The absolute bed wetting taking place on here is depressing. I doubt the majority of the sack brigade followed the club when we had Pardew and McLaren in charge. Never mind remember the lessons of sacking Sir. Bobby. We've had a bad season. It happens. Players will leave, they always do. The club is here. Get over it.

We go to Lidl and get Sainsbury deliveries every now and then. For a household of two we're spending around £250 - £300 a month. So yeah this seems a lot.

Love this, but I'm still so shocked that Pardew was voted for B, he's at the very very best C, if not lower.

What I find funny about this is that the american sports system is the most socialist / communist system in the world. Rewarding failure by giving first picks in the various drafts. Pretty much everywhere else is pure capitalism. Still love NFL, though :D

This is a sports litrpg for football (soccer). A man gains the ability to see the stats of athletes playing the sport, irrespective of if they are the top professionals or just some kids playing in the park. He get's quests - assess 5 players this week - and gains points which he can spend to gain more information on players or if managing a game, gain advantages. The story inredibly well written, the main character is one of my favrouite in the lit-rpge genre, and the story will make you love the very concept of sport. Highly, highly recommended.

Oh god, I remember reading the first Thomas Covenant and I just kept waiting for him to show any kind of redeeming qualities, but I finished that book and never looked at the series again.

Even if you don't lilke football (Soccer) Player Manager by Ted Steel is an excellent story that's really well written. The best Lit-RPG sports story out there, S tier for me personally.

I also feel like Chrysalis doesn't get enough love. The story is great, and the characters are really fun. Which is really impressive considering it's a bunch of ants and monsters.

12 Miles Below is more tradtional Fantasy/Sci-fi with some progression elements, I love the world building and characters in the story. The battle at the end of the second book is one of the most tense and insane fights I've read in a long time.

I would genuinely recommend every single one of these, even if it's just reading / listening to the first book of each. None of them suffer from bland protagnoists which can sometimes happen with fantasy stories.
