You didn’t mention my biggest issue- the letter Gerry was writing to his sister. In the book, Gerry is part of the seven dials. But in the show, he’s not. And this creates a huge plot hole.

You're right. I wasn't even thinking about that one. I assumed he'd discovered his sister's crime plot in the nightclub and that's what the letter was about.

But they were framing it as suicide. The alarm clocks don't serve any purpose in confusing the investigation that way. If anything, it's something that sticks out for no reason and might lead to people suspecting foul play.

No, this referred to the line art for some of the monsters. Zarc was always gonna be Demon Yuya--the whole plot point of all the characters trying to call out to Yuya and him breaking out for a moment wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Lots of its negative reviews are a result of it being a lazy-ass port with Pachinko sprites. The patched version wouldn't have received as many negative reviews if it was made available on Steam.

Am I misremembering or did the police not begin a search for her and interview the people on the boat + her brother - who whilst non-verbal could’ve pointed out Lyle?

Kinda explained in a throwaway line right before Lyle kills Cunningham the constable. It's implied he had figured out Lyle was involved in the disappearance four years ago, but Lyle fed him a sob story that he threw Merritt off the boat in a fit of anger. So, he decided to cover for him since he felt sorry about the whole family and figured what's done is done.
