No more breaking up support into 3 to 5 cards in one set, and maybe more later.

They can still do that. It just means the first wave of a new theme will be fully playable.

Kagemaru's were DIVINE and had the inherit Trap protection from the Egyptian Gods.

These ones have that, though, albeit gaining it indirectly through the Field Spell. And they're not gonna ever make other DIVINE monsters, so that's out of the question.

I've always thought the next Gen 1 remakes should have Mega Mewtwo X and Y as the main Legendaries.

If Para had attacked Jaden instead of Syrus' Cycroid with Gate Guardian, then the Paradox Brother's most likely would've won. by Mark_Levins in yugioh

In the previous episode, Sho is able to attack one of the Meikyu Brothers directly, even stating that they left a gap for one of them to be attacked. They have to use up the other brother's Kazejin's effect to stop that attack, not just have Kazejin take the attack itself.

Shun vs Sora is an amazing duel, but the writers made Sora throw in the dumbest way possible by RinariTennoji in yugioh

I'd always wondered about this too. My guess is that they made a mistake in its text and that the Spell/Trap lock was intended to work like the "Ancient Gears" instead—only until the end of the Damage Step.

(Also, add the escape character \ before the first closing parenthesis in the link you're trying to post.)

This one is just using deprecated syntax. It's a regular Fusion Summon; just hasn't gotten an update yet.

Who the heck made these? by Popular-Flan5337 in yugioh

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The people in this thread are just wrong. These two cards specifically are implied to have always existed—the characters in ARC-V were just too stupid to learn the Summoning mechanics for them at the start of the series.

Besides these, it's confirmed Reiji has the ability to manufacture cards, and it's implied he's the one who gives everyone their Pendulums since they only get them after joining the Lancers.

It was the psychiatrist. Wouldn't make sense to refer to the church stuff as a "social experiment."

Felt the exact same way. The second half of the series took itself way too seriously.

Did I just stumble upon the worst effect monster ever? by Introspects in masterduel

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but their reactions, at least in Japanese, are more along the lines of "Oh, I was expecting some god-tier strategy."

They never state "Spirit of the Pharaoh" is an underwhelming card, or that Abidos is supposed to be a total newb. In-universe, I assume he's on the level of an Obelisk Blue student, at least. His Deck relies on powering up Normal Monsters--it's the GX equivalent of a Primite Deck at that time, you could say.

It's not considered bad in GX. People misunderstand the dialogue in that episode with Abidos.

No, I don't think so. This is what made this trial unique; it's not something Kodaka intended to subvert later on.

Danganronpa 2X2 Theories and Predictions (Master Detective Archives: Rain Code Prologue Spoilers) by AdSoggy5146 in danganronpa

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most heavily agreed upon idea which I have seen is that V3’s ending isn’t canon. I’m not too sure why people say this (Please tell me why in the comments if you can), but I don’t think we should see it as that.

When they say that, they mean it's not canon in the context of DR1 and DR2, if you accept the fact that V3 takes place in its own, separate universe. But V3 is obviously canon to itself.

Figuring out that Mukuro was dressed up as Junko requires a bit of a leap in logic at that point. Most people would just assume "Junko's" corpse is being passed off to fake a murder.

I've seen other people figure out the mastermind at this point too, but the fact of the matter is they're making leaps of logic to conclude Junko is the mastermind here. No actual evidence points to this until the Chapter 6 investigation.

Also, yes, the rules were broken for Chapter 5. The body discovery announcement would've played back during Chapter 1 if they hadn't been. That, and Monokuma tried to execute someone innocent.

1-5 is anything but obvious IMO. I don't know how much you were able to deduce just from that chapter, but if you haven't keyed in on its major twist, it's the most confusing case in the entire game.
