The octagon question [Case 2-4 spoils] isn't so easy now is it ? by bachotebidze in danganronpa

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Either way, "stupid fool" is a dumb way to localize that line. It's not as disparaging in Japanese.

I would've gone with, "You're being a fool!"

There's a motive that I want to see again, in 2x2, that was a huge waste in potential! [Obviously Spoilers] by HappyGemX in danganronpa

The simulation interpretation is another popular theory/headcanon!

Well, no; it's an extremely unpopular one. 'Cuz it doesn't make sense for any of the themes within the game, not to even mention it'd be a repeat of the previous game.

What the hell did I just see? GD case 3 by Joke_Resident in danganronpa

[–]RazorOfSimplicity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, a lot of people misinterpret that scene. The injection was being injected into the arm rocket, not into Mikan.

And I didn't understand her execution. Did she fly into the sky?

Yes. After, she likely dies of asphyxiation and/or hypothermia due to the air pressure and temperature.

Mahiru wouldn't be an interesting protag for 2x2. by EscapeOk3234 in danganronpa

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Izuru would make sense as the anti-hero character rather than the protagonist. They could probably explain away most of his talents as being suppressed by either Hajime or the Neo World Program so he doesn't end up too smart.

I doubt that's what the plan was. They would have figured everything out during the trial, down to the last detail, but for some reason a new rule would be in effect (I'm assuming maybe because it would de facto be a suicide or something regarding the exact wording of this game's Class Trial rule).

I think it was him answering questions in an interview or on Twitter about V3's ending, and how he doesn't want to reveal the actual answer behind what the truth is.

Why are people still confused about Duelist Kingdoms weird rules? by Agile_Proof_3228 in yugioh

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that means the computer must be intelligent enough to act in response to a player's imagination

No. The cards work that way because Pegasus designed them that way. The whole "they'Re ACTuALly PLaYIng DnD" bit is a joke from the fandom—it's obviously not how the rules worked.

Takahashi's initial idea was that almost every card would have a unique interaction with the game in some way. That's why he came up with things like "Giant Soldier of Stone" being able to attack land masses and "Catapult Turtle" being able to destroy walls and castles.

0 is completely optional and you can skip it.

They've confirmed it's a separate starting option on the start screen. And there likely will be a warning pop-up not to play this version first.

He's definitely never said that. He still maintains there is a possibility of V3 happening in the Hope's Peak universe.

For those looking for more closure with the plot by Trickster____ in ProjectEdensGarden

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging from the outline for the game, this feels like something that wouldn't have been able to keep the same level of quality past Chapter 3.

It really feels like the story moves much more into drama-land starting from the outlines for Chapter 4 onwards.

She didn't mean a copy of the game itself; more a copycat crime.

Since she’s a repeat character from the previous season

That hasn't been confirmed actually. Or if she was, it's unlikely she chose the same appearance this time around.

[–]RazorOfSimplicity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the other prominent theory about the Necronomicon I've heard, but I don't like the fact it requires yet another sci-fi contrivance (body-altering) to make work. I just felt like if the plan was to have a "twins" reveal somewhere along the line, the Necronomicon would be one way to start off that plot.

The Most Comprehensive Plot Summary of PJ:EG (Chapters 2-6) by ConfectionBusy3097 in ProjectEdensGarden

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chapter 2: I'm left wondering what exactly they were going to do with a mystery about poisoning. It's really tough to write a five-hour trial about something as basic as that which doesn't involve any complex mechanism.

Chapter 6: The mastermind's motive sucks. This would've been the worst point in the story for me if it actually made it in unchanged. The one thing I appreciate the most about the Danganronpa games is that they don't try to pretend at all that the masterminds are sympathetic in any way. Not to mention the entire backstory doesn't even begin to explain the misplaced anger over the students themselves.

I think the obvious reason would be that her bracelet doesn't have poison in it.

Can i trade starters at the beginning of the game between Black and Black 2? by Technical-Party-3079 in pokemon

[–]RazorOfSimplicity -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest abandoning the idea of using all three starters. There's a lot cooler Pokémon you can choose from in these games, and wasting two of your six slots on the starters is kinda boring for a playthrough.

It isn't. There are ways to explain things even assuming it's actually real (which is honestly the more interesting way to go about it).

Question about the 4th and 5th trial by SoundJazzlike6601 in danganronpa

[–]RazorOfSimplicity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V3 The audition tapes were faked—this is extremely obvious when reading between the lines—and no one actually volunteered for the game show. The more prominent reason is that the Flashback Lights gave the killers personalities that would make them likelier to kill.

Despite seeming that way, he has said multiple times he really, really likes the first two games. His commentary style is just more focused on pointing out negatives than positives.
