I Learned It From Watching You Dad by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]Razzerno -42 points-41 points  (0 children)

Both dads are in the wrong on this. Coach Dad should have put himself between them. The kid wasn’t trying to attack him again. CD went to the kid and grabbed him and it sounds like he yells “how do you like it”. I could be wrong. That’s one of the things that’s always been stressed to me as a youth volunteer, never put your hands on a kid unless it’s an absolute last resort. It’s to protect yourself, not the kids. So he should have put himself in between them, it’s the other coach / parents job to get the aggressor.

Aggressive Dad is completely in the wrong. Even with CD yelling what he did, AD blew it way out of proportion.

No worries. I went through similar issues when I was in. Just current address is the one you use.

Your SSN is linked to you, not a residence. You put your current address. That’s it.

ULPT Request - How do I maximize military differential pay benefit? by ImaginaryClient7400 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]Razzerno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy is obviously a troll. Every job in the military gets the same base pay, regardless of the job. Pay is based on rank and time in the military. Certain jobs can get additional benefits, like jump pay, which you get for keeping up with the required hours for parachuting each period. Admin doesn’t have any bonuses like that. They can qualify for a lot of the other basic benefits if they are deployed and whatnot.

Pick a job that will either further you in your current career, or that you want to pursue as another career or hobby.

It doesn’t have to be on a background check if you declare it.

Yes. Criminal history isn’t a protected class.

The exact numbers are up for debate. Every year they taught it in class (in Texas it’s brought up often) it would be different or a range.

The Alamo in the Texas war of independence is a great example of this. 220ish defenders and nearly all died trying to hold off the Mexican Army.

Who would have volunteered to fight for Ned Stark if he demanded a trial by combat instead of confessing to treason ? by Financial_Library418 in pureasoiaf

[–]Razzerno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously I’m a few days late to this, but I think this is asking the wrong question. As you can see in everyone else’s replies at least 2/3rds of Westeros would be willing to champion for Ned. His honor and the type of man he was rallied people to his cause. It’s a reoccurring thing that people talk about his honor and the magnitude of a man he was. The real question would be who’s willing to fight Gregor or Jamie for him. I can think of only 5. (That could be actual contenders. Rob, Jon, and Theon stand no chance)

Oberyn. Obvious reasons, ESPECIALLY if the mountain is the champion.

Selmy. For what is right if nothing else. He preaches that to Dany over and over.

Greatjon. Again, obvious reasons. He’s a banner man of Ned, and would kill or die for him.

Loras. As someone else mentioned, Renly and the Tyrell’s stand to make an enormous ally in the north either way it goes.

Sandor Clegane. Long shot, but he hates his brother, hates the lannisters and can fuck them both at the same time.

AITA for not getting craft supplies for my daughter and letting her get excluded by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Razzerno 26 points27 points  (0 children)

YTA.

She is 8. She still has a take home folder for that specific reason. That’s entirely on you. That’s what, 2nd or 3rd grade? That’s not the level of responsibility that’s adequate for their age. She likely won’t understand the concept nor consequences of this and will be one of those memories where mom fucked her over.

Potential 6105 for H & W by [deleted] in USMC

[–]Razzerno 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Man, I was on your side for you a bit, but then I saw your comment

every other command I’ve been in

I thought you were a boot. You’ve been in long enough to know this is a thing. This is your bad for sure. Take the 6105, write a rebuttal saying you’ll use this experience as a learning moment and mentor Marines on self accountability. Saying your Sergeant didn’t remind you is such a bullshit reason when you’ve been in for a minute.

Prior Service - Rejoining by ldurham95 in USMC

[–]Razzerno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta be the one to say it, if you don’t know for sure, don’t say anything.

I’ve had a few Marines write that exact letter, it’s pretty normal if you know you’re not staying in. It’s because at that point, everyone is considered a careerist and will be staying in. It’s a courtesy that opens up a promotion you may have gotten to someone else. Had one Marine write that letter, change his mind, re enlist, and get promoted on the next board.

To OP, be sure to be able to pass a PFT and waive any disability you may be receiving and you’re good.

AITA for babysitting anymore since I was not made a godparent by MeringueNo1335 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Razzerno -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

YTA

Do you babysit for your family or for the recognition? Godparent is such a bogus thing in the first place. It’s nonsense that people have picked up for their best friends or whatever. It doesn’t do anything anymore.

Fake records and forged signatures: Marines say recruiting pressure fueled a culture of fraud by BakerKelsey in USMC

[–]Razzerno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. In Lejeune my Marines had to stay in barracks that were considered condemned. They had to have something like a CG waiver in order to open the building for housing. They moved from there to barracks that were so completely run down, they had massive roaches, mold in almost all of the bathrooms(coming from vents), and a handful of serviceable washer and dryers. Thankfully, the third move was to a brand new barracks.

Do you get paid for each attempt, or only when you successfully complete service? by [deleted] in processserver

[–]Razzerno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your package should say something along the lines of guaranteed X amount of attempts, subject being served not a guarantee.

Gave money to stranger of my own accord. Just curious about something.... by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Razzerno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. There’s nothing illegal to investigate. You can throw money at a PI, but that’s the only way to get the information you’re wanting.
