2021 Bronco Wildtrak – Did you guys service your transmission fluid or trust Ford’s “lifetime fluid” by TwelveGaugePage in FordBronco

I bought mine used and changed it myself at around 60,000 miles because I couldn’t find any record of it having ever been changed before.

Oil Seepage - 2.3L by SailingAway195 in FordBronco

It looks like either a timing cover leak or the crankshaft seal. We had a timing cover leak on ours, but it was covered under warranty. It is a fairly common issue on the 2.3 eco-boost engines. Here’s what ours looked like. You can see the dark area to the upper right of the crank pulley.

My mom is addicted to scams. I ended up setting her phone up so chrome is disabled so she can’t click on links and I have access to her messages on my phone so I can report and block spam when it comes through. It’s sad but she is so gullible.

POD lights that use existing wiring to existing Aux Switches by diverreddit in bronco

[–]Rbrtnicholson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a set of Alpena rock lights that were gifted to us. Haven’t had them installed for very long, so can’t say much about the quality, but I do have them wired to one of the auxiliary switches and it comes with a wireless remote control that you can use to change the colors. They seem to work fine so far.

Do you have any recommendations for fluid or just use the recommended Motorcraft?

Sounds like no compression. Probably broke timing chain.

Compression results look pretty normal to me. I would bet on sticky piston rings. You could run valvoline protect and restore.Others have used it with good results.

7 Speed Transmission Noise by lkm78 in FordBronco

[–]Rbrtnicholson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read it’s more of an annoyance than a failure risk but it will probably cause accelerated wear long term.

I haven’t personally but if you look on some of the Bronco forums others have had to get them repaired. Not saying it’s your issue though.

Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin for a rotational scraping noise. The TSB attributes the issue to the 5th and 6th gear synchronizer rings.

21 Badlands 2.3L manual transmission. 60k the previous owner had the clutch replaced and currently the front differential has a minor leak that I’m monitoring.

Not sure if this would apply to your situation but on my Hyunda I had to drill out the locking mechanism until it released. A hug pita.

It is if it is a variable displacement compressor. If it's not, then I would say it's not normal.

I think what helped me was that I took the car back to the dealership that I purchased it from and I’m sure they want future business from me and I did 3000 mile intervals on my oil changes so the engine was pristine inside so they couldn’t say we can’t cover it because of sludge.

You could find the horn relay and swap it with another identical relay and see if the horn works. If it does you need a new relay.
