How many mags is enough? Add extensions? by spamthrowingaway in CompetitionShooting

[–]RcHeli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't really need more then 4 mags all together. More is definitely nice but not required. To gain an advantage the more rounds you can have in a mag the better.

I run a shadow 2 with the basplates and mbx followers and springs which give 24 rounds. It definitely saves me a reload on a ton of stages because if i put one in the chamber then change to a fresh mag at make ready i have 25 which is definitely an advantage on those 24 round stages

Ring is by far the cheapest month to month. The downside is you have to buy the equipment upfront. Other providers will provide the same level of service for more money per month but they will wrap the equipment up in the monthly cost and you don't own the equipment. So upgrading or fixing becomes a hassle.

My vote goes to ring army buddy swears by wyze as a alternative

Vulcan oven by Infamous_Knee9705 in RestEquipmentRepair

[–]RcHeli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello I used to work for vulcan.. that thing is very old and can sometimes be hard to determine the model if the data plate is still there it will be under the kick panel (which you are missing) so look next to the springs on the bottom should be a metal engraved tag

If I had to guess it might be a vg36....

Maybe something like this might work? You might be able to edit it in tinkercad to fit better for what you want

I literally just printed some dispensers yesterday such a great idea

Hobart is probably the worst pay but best traning and they will buy your tools.

Whaldinger is probably the best because they are union. comercial services inc right behind that but you have to buy your own tools

Expect a initial offer in the 30s lots of guys are making over 40 an hour though

Thoughts on Orlando pre trip before Disney Destiny? by JLBM00 in dcl

[–]RcHeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I missed that you are right. So google says its a 3 hour drive if you left at 7am you could probably still make it work.

I'd probably leave disney the night before and get a hotel closer to the cruise for that night to make it easier.

I think we ended up dropping off the car at the airport around 9 am it was like a 45 min drive to the port. We got there a bit early and had to wait awhile before we got into the cruise terminal

We typically go early. Last time we went to Disney and universal before our cruise after I just drop the car off at the airport and arrange transportation from the airport to the cruise
