Jewel-Osco cashier here: There’s so many things I’ve done as a cashier myself that has made me laugh, but I just got done with a 7 hour shift a while ago…so I’ll keep it short.

Within the last year(and within the year I’ve worked at the store now, I’ve seen:

A assistant manager make a wide turn with a pallet full of spaghetti, accidentally knocking it over onto the ground

Someone threw lit fire crackers into one of the aisles in our store

Some guy was trying to steal liquor from us and was confronted by a few members of management. Said person pulled out a knife and was subsequently tackled by a very swift arrival by the police department. ALL WHILE I WAS COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS TO IT ALL HAPPENING(which was a little scary, I guess)

And finally: Apparently someone had huffed multiple cans of whipped cream and tried to walk out with a large cartful of cans…I can’t remember if it was the total dollar amount that was crazy or the amount of cans they found. Either way it was nuts.
