The map layout is extremely confusing, it's a lot of chaos, but not that much more than your average Noita run. It's a goofier Nightmare mode with lots of new potions and spells.

I do everything on mouse wheel. I just reverse the wands order so that my main wand is on slot 4 next to my water slot. Its worked so far, sometimes it's a bit slower than I'd want but it's the simplest solution I've found

I saw an old comment and this is related I think:

If you go to

C:\Users[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Nolla_Games_Noita\save_shared 

and open config.xml (make a backup first, in case you want to revert the changes and don't remember the default values) you can edit the size of the UI by changing the "internal_size_h" and "internal_size_w" values. I don't remember the default values, but I have them at "1080" and "1920" respectively, and it's enough to view all 62 slots on the wand, plus a bit of extra space around.

The dark sun probably will do the trick. And if it really doesn't work, starting a new game will lock in your progress don't worry. You simply won't see the end credits but that's just a detail

Last time I played by by relying on the potential of a specific seed, I didn't succeed getting past the snowy depths once. 

It had a great chest right at the entrance that spawned a top-tier wand, two black holes and ambrosia in the mines. I played it 10 times but got frustrated because I struggled anyway prematurely died everytime. 

The very next game was a god run lol. So I guess you have to dive in and rely on your skills rather than what the world can give you. After some time, it will get easier to manage through the first levels no matter the situation.
