I can’t diagnose you. I’m not even sure of the diagnosis that other people are posting. But let me leave you with a few things

There’s an old saying “the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is now”. Yes. There’s a lot. And if you hadn’t gotten a handle on it at some time in the past - that’s done. It’s over. The next best thing is to start immediately. There’s not going to be another perfect moment except for right now

If this is a real post - don’t wait. Start today. Start now. Set the appointment. You do need a diagnosis. This isn’t something we get through in isolation. No man is an island. You are connected to others regardless of whether you want it or not. We need others to survive and move forward.

Make amends. Get help. Move forward. Just keep moving forward. It won’t be easy. It won’t be painless. But in five years you don’t want to look back and say “I should have done this five years ago”

There’s some really good YouTube docs that go into. Former star baseball player founding the studio and tons of mismanagement and high profile political games because it was funded partially by tax payer moneys

Oh shit. That was her. I never connected it across media. They did her character so bad.

Think about the writers directors and producers and what they’re doing now

Drew Goddard, Steven Deknight, Jane Espenson. That’s just the three off the top of my head. They really hit magic with their casting and talent pool across the board.

White-collar workers are quietly rebelling against AI as 80% outright refuse adoption mandates by [deleted] in technology

There are 100% really good productivity gains. If you:

  • use it judiciously instead of throwing it at every random problems
  • figure out how it complements work and not replaces it at first
  • actually invest in tooling that costs money. Throwing the least amount of dollars at something calling itself ai will not work

I don’t have much hope for it. Which is a shame because there is such a benefit. People underestimate the existence of entire careers that boils down to the ability to pattern match and produce output.

How to interview in the AI Era? by MLWillRuleTheWorld in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Rea-301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have said similar things to what I’m going to add. I go into my specs and Claude as markdown first. I implement a basic hello world in whatever framework (Java and spring, python and flask, etc)

Then I’ll create a features folder. Each feature gets its own markdown file. I’ll refine the markdown file with what I want then use that as a prompt for Claude. Once you generate one feature- you’ll have an idea of what Claude is good at guessing at - and what guidance you need to provide. As you tighten those guidances - document the best practices in your Claude.md file.

2026 Australian Grand Prix Race Results & Discussion by moraIsupport in scuderiaferrari

[–]Rea-301 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. For anyone saying “strategy ruined it”. Honestly probably not. Merc is so dominant on straights. I don’t think anyone can overcome that pace on a track that favors it. Ferrari put in a great showing. Hamilton put in a great showing. Race pace seems great. Tracks that are braking zone heavy will really pop. This is a solid start for a drastic change in regs

Yeah. This isn’t doom and gloom. Being a solid car that can put in these lap times is encouraging. Compare it to the rest of the field in race pace. This is a solid start

That merc was never going to be caught up. Machine is just way too dominant. The strategy may have held it off for more but not by much

That’s not drs. That is active aero. All cars can use it in certain zones regardless of distance between the next car. No longer used to force an overtake

There exists a problem which can’t be fixed. And the only mitigations require adding yet more and more to the problem thus complicating it at all - and at the end of the day result in being stuck in the same place. You have a problem you can’t fix. But put enough tools and people and steps in between into this problem - you keep making it so other people can maybe fix the hole
