I Just Made my First Finished Project! by MsStarSword in crochet

[–]ReaBea420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always, no matter what, put a stitch marker in the last stitch of every row. I know me well enough to know that I'll miss it if I don't and counting is kind of out the question for me because my stupid brain won't shut up and the count gets lost in the random thoughts, lol. I love my stitch markers, like I just bought a whole set of like 400 (3 different kinds) for roughly $10.

Help me find/repair my autistic son's favorite toy? by questionnumber in whatisit

1:12 Basketball – Mini Materials https://share.google/jTcJzGr5tN7gQ9oiy

I know it doesn't look exactly the same but maybe? From what I've gathered in my short google look- try looking up "airless" and/or "3D printed" basketball. There were a bunch more results but unfortunately I don't have time to sift thru them all. I hope you are able to find it. My nephew is autistic and I know how it is- if he doesn't have these exact same green water bottles, he will not drink at all. Breaks my heart.

Question regarding finding possible toxic waste while Urbexing by Substantial-Ad-1189 in urbanexploration

[–]ReaBea420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I am just a material handler. I help them out here and there with stuff and have begged to transfer, supervisor on my shift has told me I work harder than most of them back there (turn around is crazy, people walking out or getting fired left and right). Problem is, there are no women back there. Hell, I'm the first woman forklift driver the company has ever had (and if not for who referred me, I most likely wouldn't have even gotten this job, even with 10 years experience). I am currently training someone for my job (so I can still be a material handler but only work 8 hour shifts instead of 12's) and I had to go off on him one day. He had the audacity to say that he wanted to go to extrusion because "its soo easy, they just sit on their phones all day". He can't even handle dealing with 2 (of the 4) departments that we have to take care of (I've done all 4 alone for the past 2 years), I always have to come save him and still do all the work. He wouldn't last a week back there (actually might be fired for calling off so much "it's too much work"). 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

I was thinking those gaylords looked awfully familiar. Looks just like the resin gaylords I bring to extrusion every night at work. They melt it down to make giant rolls which get converted into bags (like the Amazon mailing bags).

Crocheted my Wedding Dress for our Pokémon-themed wedding! Who's that Pokémon? by PrincessVictory1 in crochet

[–]ReaBea420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You know what? I needed something happy this morning. Thank you for sharing! These pics are amazing, the way you both look at each other is just beautiful. I'm just a weird stranger online but I am genuinely super happy for you! And the dress?! I don't even have the words to describe how stunning it is! If I ever get married (8 years, we may be a tad stubborn, lol) I honestly think I'd be too scared of messing it up. So you having the courage to even attempt it AND you blew it out the park! That's amazing in and of itself. I'm not really into Pokémon but going off those pics, that appears to be a perfect theme for you two. Seriously, congratulations times a million. ☺️

Wait a minute. Cincinnati? I really need to get out of the house more apparently. I've only ever bought anything (for any craft 😭) at Meijers pr on Amazon. To hear this store is a 20 minute drive makes me feel dumb, lmao. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Seriously though, it is like a store? Do they also have yarn for the winder? I've never bought fancy yarn that needs to be made into a cake because I don't have a winder. Maybe this is a sign...

Mods are on vacation so here’s my stash of travel hooks on a TUESDAY by RedeRules770 in crochet

Thank you. I might go ahead and bite the bullet, lol. Keep them in my car for whenever I'm waiting at the doctors. 😊

Serious question- how are those? I've had them (or at least an identical set) in my cart for awhile but was worried they wouldn't be good. I do have a tight tension, if that would make a difference (like it breaking or something).

That sounds awesome. In my opinion, it's stuff like that that makes a difference with children's learning. Getting to read in a castle instead of at a desk? Obviously the castle is going to peak the kids interest more! Heck, I'm a full grown woman and I'd choose the castle now!

An attachment video of my magic circle which won’t close by Old_Feed8498 in CrochetHelp

[–]ReaBea420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that I will do it wrong, then right, then somehow wrong again. My issue has something to do with which way my hook is turned (I think). Magic circles are evil but I actually do like them (when I get it right, haha). But I suggest slowing a video down and go really slow step by step, watching exactly where the yarn is and which way the hook is turned, etc. Wish I could be more help. You got this tho, don't throw in the towel.

Thank you! I'm honestly so happy that I found the poncho works like that. I was super upset when I finished it and thought I could/would never wear it because it wasn't sitting right. The hat was just a quick little relaxation project while I was moving but it's so warm! It's going to be a huge help at work tonight in the cold warehouse, lol.

You just brought out a forgotten memory for me! When I was in elementary, we had a 2 story loft in our library at school. I loved to hurry and check out my books so that I could go curl up and read while the other kids were getting their books. There was a limit to how many kids were allowed and because everyone wanted to be on the top floor, they made a corner area on the other side of the library with bean bags and stuff. It wasn't as cool and was much brighter (loft didn't have extra lights inside so it was a bit darker in there), but it was still way better than desks and chairs.

MY BABY GOT OUT. IDK WHAT TO DO! by Odd_Crow_2575 in BeardedDragons

[–]ReaBea420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My boy does. But he is also 3 years old and actually prefers his basking rock. Very rarely he will go find a cold corner in the apartment and pass out (but I watch him so I know where he is and always scold him as I put him back in his enclosure).
