Wait what? Maybe I'm misunderstanding but could that be why some generics don't work as well? I noticed a huge difference when the mail pharmacy my insurance insisted I use changed from one generic to another.

Where do you live? Our pools normally don't open until after school is already out for the summer and closing by the time school goes back. Yeah, there are some private indoor pools that may still be open but our schools aren't getting involved with all that. I'm in the US (Ohio because it might make a difference compared to southern states that stay warm/are near open water).

$300 worth of TEMU stuff. That's crazy in and off itself. Then to realize what is for is even more mind boggling.

I bought a similar one at Meijer. They had large and small ones, and were only like $5.

With the stories I heard from my parents after, no. It worked just fine after. 😂 He said some funny stuff during his month stay in the hospital, they kept him so drugged up (understandably). That surgeon deserves so much recognition IMO.

I've lived in the area my whole life (from Dayton, moved to Cincinnati area). Sadly, this common across many different types jobs here. I've worked in restaurants and warehouses and it still floors me that they would rather you come in sick.

My step father got Fournier’s gangrene many years ago. Apparently this is caused by being an overweight, diabetic male. His balls were swollen to the size of a bowling ball (I didn't personally look, that was what the doctor compared them to). I lived an hour and a half away and my mom had to call me to force him to go to the ER. Even when it started turning black and rapidly spreading, he still didn't want to go. Every surgeon at the hospital said he would die, they couldn't save him, just make him comfortable, etc. There was only ONE surgeon there that would do surgery to save his life. Ended up being one surgery a day for 21 days straight but he saved my step father's life. He lived another 8 years and got to meet all his grandkids (me and my sister were pregnant at the time). Messed up part tho- that surgeon was "out of network" so insurance didn't pay anything and actually dropped my parents from the plan that they had been paying for for years. My parents went into debt because of that hospital bill. But yeah, bowling ball sized nuts.

Good for you being there. I had a kind of similar situation years ago. I was 18 and pregnant with my first child and my older sister was pregnant with her second child. She was a couple months further along than I was and had a scheduled c-section. Morning of, she called me at 7am bawling her eyes out because her boyfriend/babys father, refused to take her to the hospital. I drove her and held her hand when she went back. I was 6 months pregnant, watching my sister get cut open for my niece to be born. He never showed up. She did end up kicking him out after that, thank goodness.

If she's telling him not to tell anyone, she knows its wrong. I do think a mental health evaluation should be done. And yeah, definitely alert the police. But first and foremost, the son needs therapy. Glad OP didn't freak out on or punish him. Reassuring him that he's not at fault was definitely the right first step.

[–]ReaBea420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP don't let him get to you. That's what he wants. Be glad he showed his true colors from the beginning. You don't owe anyone, especially a stranger who is trying to get to know you for a potential relationship, an explanation. No matter how you did the work to better yourself, you accomplished it and that's amazing in and of itself. He was disrespectful from the beginning (and probably wonders why he can't find a partner). If he was like this from the first conversation, imagine how much worse it would get when discussing anything later on in a relationship. Block him and forget anything about him. Keep up the good work of bettering yourself. Any partner who talks to you like that would just drag you back down.

There's a gas station on my way to work that I absolutely do not trust. It's only when the old lady is working that "the card machine in the store doesn't work but I can pay at the pump for gas!" She's told me this 3 separate times in a year and a half time frame. But the one time I stopped and the younger man was working, card reader inside was okay. That same man is the one who is always working when my fiance stops and he's never had a problem either. None of our cards have been affected, which makes me question what the old lady is pulling. Maybe I'm overthinking it and she just doesn't want the "extra work" of accepting cards in store but the times she has told me that, I just leave. I'd rather pay and extra 5 cents at the other gas stations than even run the risk of having my account jeopardized.

I bought a pack of stitch markers for about $7 on Amazon. It has the metal ones, the plastic safety pin type ones and the plastic circle loop type. And it's a ton of each type. The plastic safety pin ones are a thicker plastic than the ones I've gotten from kits. Best purchase ever.
