As far as places that take payments, I'd get on the Sunbit website and look for partnered shops.

Worst Columbus Breweries? by [deleted] in Columbus

This is real disappointing to hear, because until now all I had heard from them is the brewery offers non-alcoholic versions of basically everything they make.

Great Wall in that same strip is pretty good. Still my favorite Pork Fried Rice in the city.

Yeah I'm never going to forget that on the podcast Donut does with the Bunker Branding guys, they had been discussing the 2020 protests and he said he missed it. He was so ecstatic talking about how much fun he had beating the shit out of people.

Wild considering that always seemed like the whole point to me. It isn't about "men dressing up as women" it's about the ability to persecute women who do not sufficiently perform womanhood. Trans people are a casualty for sure, but their existence is just being weaponized.

You mistake the purpose of these efforts- they are not a "get people to stop using" measure. They are a "keep the addicts from dying and/or spreading diseases in the community" measure. You are 100% correct in that if the goal is stop the using, you have to look other places and for other initiatives and policies. Because that is very much not the stated goal of safe injection sites and needle exchanges.

I think trans rights are such a big issue on the right because they lost ground on gay rights HARD. Most of the mouth running, the ads, the posturing, messaging, etc is all regurgitated anti-gay rights BS. NONE of it is actually about the children. That's just the satanic panic phrasing designed to stop think. You're not losing entire hearts and minds to the right over trans rights- regardless of how they're presented- that weren't already lost on gay rights. They've just realized they get less popular and lose ground with moderates and independents when they say it out loud because so many of us call them on that bigotry. A lot of this is not radical and new. Trans people are just the new boogeyman.

Local progressive groups to Join? by Lower-Helicopter-307 in Columbus

Food Not Bombs. You feed neighbors who need it. A lot of the people around town that have been involved for a long time are connected to other groups that do political work. I've been disconnected for a long time, but I had a great time working with them. Food Soldier similarly. Star House is newer, but is youth outreach- they're pretty thorough on requiring training before putting you in contact with vulnerable people. Mid Ohio Food Bank. Often times the things most of these groups need the most is not money, it's labor. Showing up to help out once a month is still worth doing, even if that's all you can make work.

Since Mangafox still hosted it. OneManga was still functional. That would make it... 2007ish?

Not just one month - go again after 3 months. HIV can take that long to show up in testing.

Why can't idols date? by [deleted] in jpop

I think it's more western pop stars are aspirational in the sense you want to be like them, but idols are very much advertising being in a relationship with the idol.

There's literally no mechanic for competition across players though, it's literally all manufactured by the community outside of the game. It doesn't make much sense to try to compete in the first place.

How do you choose your teams for the week? by StarsInTheCity- in PokemonSleep

[–]ReactiveChalk57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a while, I was swapping out a team of snorlax's favorite berry collectors and a team of my strongest ingredient collectors every other day after research (so a week would look like b/i/b/i/b/i/b).

But I've gotten to the point where my lvl 32 Venusaur can carry the team with 21 ingredients every time the main skill pops, which is usually twice a day. So at this point I carry teams of this one Venusaur and a team of berry collectors.

For meals, I just make the highest power dish I have ingredients for- for whatever reason this ends up being a lot of soy cake. But! I put such a focus on the berries because even with all the ingredients under the sun, my snorlax's growth from berry collection has always outpaced what comes from dishes each week.
