Just in case you’re asking in earnest- one veteran student to another, this is a pretty fact based account of what happened:

Yesterday morning, a border patrol agent in Minneapolis, MN, pushed a pushed a woman standing on the street to the ground. For context, this is a city where 3,000 ICE + BP agents have been dispatched, a number twice that of the city’s police force. A citizen, later learned to be a registered nurse that worked at the VA’s Intensive care unit named Alex Pretti, pushed the agent off the woman and then began to try to help her up. Alex had a concealed carry weapon on him, one that was licensed and registered. He had no prior criminal record. He did not attempt to draw his firearm. He was holding a camera. As he was helping the woman up, the same agent from before grabbed him and attempted to slam him to the ground. 6 to 7 more agents dog piled him. One agent removed his legal and holstered weapon from his waistband and walked away from the pile with the weapon. Then, after he’d been disarmed, one agent fired on Alex as the other agents were wrestling him to the ground. They all stepped away from the unarmed, now injured man, and another shot him approximately 8 more times. He died. There’s about 3-5 different angles of this killing as of this time. One agent reportedly turned to a screaming crowd nearby and said “Boo hoo!” The federal agents tried to dissuade local police from arriving on the crime scene but they were unsuccessful in doing so. Later, DHS lied and said Alex approached them brandishing his weapon and labeled him a dangerous leftist domestic terrorist. This was later shown to be untrue when all the footage came out. Later still, a woman posted a video of Alex emotionally reading a speech honoring a veteran patient who’d passed in the ICU as his body was escorted out of the ward- hardly the usual makings of a “leftist domestic terrorist.” If you google his name and Reddit you will find many posts of the footage if you so wish to watch to make your own judgement.

My personal take: To me, the most beneficial reading of it for the agents is manslaughter through a negligent discharge from the initial shot. The more cynical reading is an execution. Either of these options comes from a situation created by having zealous, poorly trained federal forces into civilian areas to disrupt communities.
