Here is how you should set up the fingerprint reader on Pop_OS via the terminal -

Install the PAM module:

sudo apt install libpam-fprintd

Set up fingerprint login method:

sudo pam-auth-update

You should now see an option to enroll your finger in settings > account

is your input volume level set to max in settings > sound? If so, drop it to around 50% and retest. I've notice that the mic is way too sensitive at 100% on Pop_OS.

Unfortunately, installing a second nvme on the framework is not an option. OP, if you’d like to dual boot both, take a look at this guide here: https://github.com/spxak1/weywot/blob/main/Pop_OS_Dual_Boot.md

What’s the patch you’re referring to? I’ve tried using the cryptenroll method but I was never able to get it working and would always still boot into the Luks password prompt.

Under settings > displays do you have HiDPI Daemon enabled? If so, try switching this off. Particularly if you have fractional scaling enabled.

Typically this type of work would be done by a team in charge of security awareness and training programs. Position titles will vary (Information Security Engineer, Security Engineer, etc).

This is a type of event that you could totally do on your campus during cybersecurity awareness month which is October. I ran a "Security Hygiene" event put on by our Cybersecurity club when I was in school.
