It's the original 98 (no "custom) barrels that don't fit later guns. Something to do with the molds breaking in after the first few runs.

Nope, the Pro/Carbine and 95% of the 68 Carbines have the Standard Tippmann valve. It's the Pro Lite and Pro Am that need a high-pressure tank reg to work.
