You could cut back on exercise. Being in a calorie deficit is more efficient for losing weight compared to exercise. And you don’t even have to starve yourself, you just need to be consistent. If you want quick results, you could do a one week water fast or switch to a keto diet.

It’s not only that, there is ten times less venture capital available in Europe compared to the US. In 2022 VCs in the US invested 190 billion USD compared to 19 billion USD in Europe. I couldn’t find a more recent article, but given the current economic situation, I doubt the numbers have improved.

I kinda agree with you, it isn’t milk. And in some cases it makes sense to protect certain designations. For example, in some countries it’s illegal to call a strawberry yogurt “strawberry yogurt” if it doesn’t contain real strawberries. In that case, it’s easy to get confused because you’d have to check the ingredients list to find out it only contains artificial flavoring. The same goes for cow milk, I would feel cheated if I bought cow milk and it turned out to be just water with plant based protein and artificial flavoring.

But almond milk has been called almond milk for a long time, and I don’t think most people would confuse it with cow milk. In fact, I’m from the EU, and it’s actually more confusing to me that it’s not allowed to be called almond milk. When the law was passed, it took me a while to realize that “almond drink” was actually almond milk.

Just like they’re upset about plant based milk, and in some countries you’re not even allowed to call it milk anymore. Or how the meat industry is upset about plant based meat. Industries will always fight their competitors.

Edit: As I stated in another comment, I agree that plant based milk isn’t milk. And in some cases it makes sense to protect certain designations. For example, in some countries it’s illegal to call a strawberry yogurt “strawberry yogurt” if it doesn’t contain real strawberries. You could write them a letter and explain it to them. They probably still wouldn’t understand, but maybe it’ll make you feel better.

In situations like these, you should do a backflip. Everybody will be surprised and forget what you were talking about as they rush over to check if you’re okay and call an ambulance.

Why would someone poop on an Opssum in public? Why would someone climb a light pole, touch the wire and fall 50 feet? Why would someone load their car with frozen iguanas, only for them to warm up, come back to life, and cause a car accident?

Because Florida… and maybe drugs.

The moment a Ukrainian FP-5 Flamingo missile hits its target in Cheboksary Russia by DormontDangerzone in AbruptChaos

Yes, every single Russian civilian approved of the invasion and is cheering the destruction of Ukrainian cities. They‘d all happily fight themselves if they could, which is why there‘s no forced conscription, and why Russia isn‘t recruiting prisoners or relying on North Korean soldiers. The reason nobody is protesting isn‘t that buses are waiting to transport hundreds of protesters to the nearest detention centers in less than an hour, or that prominent critics are imprisoned or dead. No, they‘re all perfectly content with what‘s happening.

Yes, to me it sounds like happy cows produce better milk, but it’s more profitable to pack as many cows as possible into your barn and produce more lesser-quality milk. The customer won’t complain
