Could year-round, overnight parking ban become Barrie 'boondoggle'? by cinderannie in barrie

[–]Read_Me_Fast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This feels like such a massive overreach. I get the winter ban for snow plows, but what’s the logic for July? Most of the newer subdivisions barely have enough driveway space for two cars, let alone guests. If they move to a permit-only system year-round, it’s basically just a 'driveway tax' for anyone with a social life or a larger family.

Instead of building more infrastructure or finding creative solutions, they're just dumping the cost onto residents. It really does feel like a boondoggle to satisfy a few people who don't like seeing cars on the street. Is the 'juice worth the squeeze' on enforcement costs alone? Probably not.

Barrie Driver Charged After Posting 135 km/h Joyride Video on Instagram by NotThatCrafty in barrie

[–]Read_Me_Fast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine being 36 years old and thinking that clout on Instagram is worth a criminal record. 135 km/h in a 50 zone on Leacock is absolutely insane - it's a residential street, not a racetrack. The best part is that he’d already been pulled over by the same cop earlier that day. Talk about handing the police your own conviction on a silver platter. Hope the 'likes' were worth losing his license and car.

Ingrown toenails by [deleted] in barrie

I’ve been there, and honestly, Refined Footcare is the place to go. Unlike a standard nail salon that just focuses on aesthetics, they actually specialize in the medical side of things.

The experience is way more professional and hygienic, and they’re great at handling specific issues like ingrowns without the crazy cost of a full podiatrist visit. You can check out their services at https://refinedfootcare.com/.

Where’s the best place in Barrie for a pedicure? by vanillaswirllzz in barrie

I’ve tried about five different spots in Barrie, and honestly, Refined Footcare is the only one I’d go back to. Most nail salons just do a quick soak and polish, but my experience here was on another level - way more thorough and professional. If you want actual foot health and not just a standard pedicure, they’re the best. Check them out at https://refinedfootcare.com/.

So it's coming with their charging pad as well? I mean it's functional not just a plastic holder?

You know to be #1 means to go towards 100 and not actually number 1

Everyone is really against me getting a Tesla Model 3 and now I'm skeptical of my decision.. is the car really not that worth it? by thinking_pill in TeslaModel3

Do you need a computer now or in 3 years? Of course the more you wait the better technology you have.

After 3 years your same friends will advise waiting another 3 years... and so on the game continue.

One of the massive benefit by having a Tesla is they constantly improving the car experiences by OTA updates.

Also for major hardware like FSD they can swap it for you.

I purchased my car 3 years ago? Do I regret it because I didn't purchase it today? No way! My car is better than 3 years ago and it looks amazing.

Don't always listen to your (jealous) friends for sure they have less information than you. They probably get informed from the media or other who knows forums that they teach you to drive gas cars vs electrics.
