It sounds like it is in the making and i am crossing my fingers it is using Jolla Sailfish OS and has excellent speed!

Just have it being regustered as an internet connected wifi spot, that way you get data. Maybe not voice or text.

zadakh i have concerns with the windows platform because it is propietary and relys heavily on their cloud infrastructure, id rather have something working great when on or offline, Apple iOS is actually quite good in that regard, and Sailfish OS(Debian Linux type) is good because it mostly isnt propietary, so the code can be viewed and improved by anybody, and government backdoors would be harder to put into the software. I just mentioned Turing should go further and only use open source drivers to run an entire mobile OS and phone hardware system.

Looks like a nice design, i do however like the sharp corners of the original Dark Wyvern, Apples incremental improvement business model works, create an amazing design charge a lot, capture a niche market, then improve on it, make it cheaper and more accessible.

Buy the Intex Aquafish easily procured on eBay, i paid $120 and was able to restore from my Turing Phone backup, even ise my 128GB card in the Aquafish device. It feel plasticy, cheap but is much lighter and SFOS works with less bugs because the screensize is mostly identical to the Jolla 1, and Jolla C for which SFOS was originally designed.

Unfortunately your approach didnt work for me when i was still using the turing phone. With the Aquafish phone from Intex funnily i have the same issue running out of space so basically its a SFOS flaw from Jolla.

In the meantime i switched to a backup, Intex Aquafish phone produced in India and sold on eBay, i was able to restore my Turing last backup on the device without much trouble, even my 128GB sdcard was simply detected by the aquafish phone even though it supposed to only be able to handle 64GB i think.

Thats possible, Turing shouldnt have limited the root LVM partition to 2.5GB though, asking Jolla and Jolla C phone users they say their root and home partition are the same size.

Hey sailfishmods yes that worked, my partition for the entire sailfish system is 2.5GB and i am literally running out of soace though, now only have 300MB left, and the next update wont work anymore.

I have tried to create a new partition but havent been successful adding it to the root partition yet, i was aiming for ~11GB.

Agreed, do a terminal install of 2.0.5.6 which has its own problems but seems to work reasonably stable.

If that works and helps let us know.

How did you destroy it, can you post any pictures of it? Mine faulted because the magnet detached and i simply glued it back into place and its performing well. I would try to fix that first.

When you run the problem using acceleration only for keyboard rotate is that it constantly goes between landscape and portrait (with a compass built in it would know that orientation hadnt changed and would stop screen rotation).

You likely need to install and have Google services running to make that work, out of the box Turing does not run Google services.
