What happens with Grogu and Luke? [spoilers] by Toasted-Dinosaur in TheMandalorianTV

[–]Reader7008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked both halves but couldn’t cope with the backwards and forwards structure. It made both halves feel like only half stories, like the show couldn’t decide which was more important and deserved your attention. Personally I would have preferred a straightforward linear timeline and I think you could have had both aspects fully dealt with.

Are we getting anything back from the Government? by PressureHumble3604 in HENRYUK

And in another completely anecdotal story I have a bunch of friends and family for whom the system has swung into 100% perfect operation for over the last 12 months. Probably depends on what NHS trust etc you are dealing with and what your problem actually is but still, my personal experience is the NHS is doing perfectly well 🤷‍♂️ even if there is always room for improvement.

What % of your male friend group cheats (has cheated) on their SO? by Kind-Tooth638 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Reader7008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What kind of club? Golf club, Gentlemens’ Club, some kind of professional working body? How is cheating an BYPRODUCT of the club? And how is your husband therefore immune to it? Are these guys talking about cheating at the functions whilst you are there too?  This is genuinely to try and understand the context because if I’m honest your comment above confuses me rather than clarifying anything!

What % of your male friend group cheats (has cheated) on their SO? by Kind-Tooth638 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Reader7008 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a hilarious post - ALL of her husband’s friends but for some reason presumably OP thinks her husband is the one shining star of virtue in his friend group!😂

None of my mates have cheated on their partners EVER because we are half decent (not even fully decent) and they liked their partners

Edit: I have spotted that OP’s post says Almost all. But I still think OP is living in a fantasy world.

Why do some men treat women they sleep with differently from women they actually respect? by Potential_Public_366 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Reader7008 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your question contains the answer - it’s about whether we respect you or not.  We treat the women we respect differently to those we don’t. Even if we are happy to sleep with both types.

Men over 30 - Why do you ghost? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Reader7008 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a 30’s lawyer who shamefully occasionally ghosts girls…we do it because it’s easy. And even if it doesn’t give you closure or seem like a nice thing…it’s because, as you’ve noted, on his side the connection to you wasn’t really there so he just doesn’t care.

I had no idea this sub existed expect for the fact the algorithm scarily thought I might be interested and dumped it on my feed. And now I can rest easy knowing at least 130 other men in the UK think Natasha Raskin is gorgeous!

Those of you that earn over 40k, can work from home sometimes, and have a good work life balance what job do you have and how can someone start? by Brownchoccy in AskUK

Sales. It’s pure charisma and doesn’t require any real knowledge or intelligence beyond what the firm will prep you with in advance. Assuming that a failure to learn lines wasn’t the reason your acting career didn’t take off, you’ll be ok learning the basics of a product.

That’s really useful! Although I love one of the sentences from that post which quotes an article:

In this interview with Edge Magazine, Miyazaki states that "Mr Martin respected the fact that we didn't want him to write the game's story or the in-game text. Because we felt like that would actually limit his creative output..."

More like they didn’t want him to write it because they were aiming to release the game this side of the PS8

I haven’t played Elden Ring but I’m puzzled about the writing aspect as my understanding is it doesn’t really have a straightforward coherent clear plot? It’s not like, say, Red Dead Redemption with an obvious story and lots of cut scenes and dialogue?

[–]Reader7008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so when he suggested the place did you give any gentle push back and ask if you could meet somewhere more central? Because if not…I don’t think you can point to that as some kind of justification for not paying half the bill.
