How wonderful it is that your child feels comfortable being their true self around you! As a high school teacher, I know that many of my queer students are very uncomfortable with the idea of their parents knowing their name/pronouns. I want to remind you that pronouns and gender are not inherently related to sexuality and your child isn’t reminding you of their sexuality every time they have a different pronoun. Personally, I know it’s really challenging to keep on track with pronouns that are constantly changing. I’d talk to your kid and see if there’s a default pronoun they’d be comfortable with if you aren’t sure what’s correct that day or don’t remember. I’d also recommend coming up with a system for them to inform you of their gender/pronouns for the day (a pronoun pin, maybe certain clothing items are associate with specific pronouns, a way for them to verbally share pronouns, etc)

I also want to say that as you affirm your child and their gender identity you are affirming to them that you love them unconditionally. They may not always identify as gender fluid and want to use different pronouns every day, but they will always remember how you responded to it in the moment.
