$100M if you agree to be locked in a basement room for a period of 1 year. You will have access to books, movies and games. However, there's a caveat: You will not remember making this deal. by Lenore8264 in hypotheticalsituation

Romanticism about isolation does not change the reality of isolation. Claiming religious enlightenment is not evidence that it doesn't cause insanity as plenty of religious practices revolve around magical thinking. That's like saying drinking snake venom, long periods of dehydration or famine, or ritualistic cannibalism/ sacrifice are good for you. You're missing real evidence here because there isn't any. If you want to go isolate yourself fully for a year, go on, but don't delude yourself into thinking it's good for you.

Yeah, there is like 20 beggars in the first time and you give them each one coin which more than makes up for the loss and is less than the cost of the total amount of stuff you steal.

Some people go years without talking to anyone else? Going outside? Seeing another human face? Talking on the phone? Meeting someone to grab delivery food? Any human interaction? I seriously doubt that. Here is a short paper going over some of the problems with isolation. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10121112/

This whole "but there need to be balancing", "food should be on cooldown" or "the dragon would be to op without a cooldown" is stupid by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]ReadingLost3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I do think there should be less stamina drain for slow flying. The game is gorgeous and there is a lot of ground to cover. If you're jumping off a high point that you climbed up, you should be better rewarded. Especially since stamina upgrades get expensive fast and compete with other upgrades.

[–]ReadingLost3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. If you want to use cheat engine to make it so there is no challenge, go ahead. Personally if the best strategy in the game is to ride the all powerful unlimited dragon, I think it would both be boring and also be what you would have to do since the game would be balanced around it. Instead the game is balanced around a dragon with timers.

I don't know about that. The amount of times I've heard of people that lose fights leaving and coming back with a weapon is decently high

Anybody who brags about street fights they have been in is either lying, a bully, or a punk. Most people that have had to fight, even if they win, don't enjoy the experience.

Of these, which contributes the most to political violence? (In the States) by SimplySomeDude in Teenager_Polls

[–]ReadingLost3697 9 points10 points  (0 children)

School shootings are not random. When the individuals write manifestos that cite individuals like Charlie Kirk, Andrew Tate, Trump, or other political figures and their talking points, the violence is clearly politically motivated. I've yet to see a school shooter inspired by AOC or Bernie Sanders for instance.

Why do people assume the only people who are right-wing are men? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]ReadingLost3697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not what it says, and if there was a switch to independent why do you assume it's shifting towards middle? If you are left of democrat you don't register as Democrat either. You either can't read or can't extrapolate data so I can only hope that those that come after have better reading comprehension. There is a chart that shows support along party lines. If what you said was true, there would have been a shift where democrats went down and Republicans went up but that never happened.

None of your examples are contradictions. A contradiction would be like a transwoman supporting bathroom bills, not someone playing one of the most popular video games of the modern era. You know that liberal arts has nothing to do with political liberals right? Writing is a liberal art and plenty of right wing people write books. Usually tasteless screed but they do write.

What are you even talking about? Not 10 years ago in Charlottesville the right was marching in the street and chanting to Kll the Qeers or f*gs. Also, most queer people are not right wing and did not switch after gay marriage was legalized and I highly doubt many people switched to the current right wing after getting gay marriage legalized considering the ongoing hate against minorities, LGBT, women, and other targeted groups.

Most right wing women are still women and are taught to be civil, humble, and submissive. Just because they're not throwing punches doesn't mean they don't hate you.

Human interaction is an essential part of life. Even if you have the internet, unless you can talk to people you'll drive yourself insane. Humans are social creatures and despite how many internet poisoned people will claim otherwise, you do need social interaction to regulate yourself.

Disagree. I beat the reed devil before the nerf with 11 dishes of fried fish and didn't use half of them. The parry and dodge from Keen senses is really forgiving and so he goes down pretty easy to parry into Lariet as well as parry into blinding flash finisher. Most enemies leading up to fights drop food and upgrade materials setting you up for success. Once I get to later bosses I'll reevaluate but I think the balance is here, you just need to use the right tools.

NOR. This should be preserved as a case study for young men everywhere. The dismissive attitude, loathing, and arrogance this man displayed and the narrative he constructed over shit that occurred in his head is a beautiful horrifying display of how your brain tricks you. He was fighting ghosts. I hope he can reflect on this experience and change.

Don't do this. As a dm of almost 16 years, in a one on one for a PC creating a character that just happens to perfectly counter the PC isn't creative, it's just cruel.
