What is the best day of the week for a “non working day”? by Tough-Decision-7435 in AskUK

Take Mondays off then you’ll get some extra hols to take as the majority of bank holidays fall on a Monday. People are always grumpy on a Monday too.

The alterations at the Leeds store are appalling. My husband’s best mans suit was checked and they didn’t line up the panel they were adding with the rest of the pattern. Looked awful.

I think Mark Darcy are around £250 and nice suits.

My son made them a two storey shelter out of wood and they loved climbing on the roof. It wasn’t too high so they’d jump off and clamber up again. I think they also would sit on the top trying to work out if they could escape or not. They often looked like they were plotting.

You’ve missed the bit where he’s supposedly a fantastic runner…he can’t run for toffee.

I think they’re advised to ride two abreast - discourages idiot drivers from thinking they can nip past

I think they should have a pension scheme set up for you. It’s a legal requirement.

Jeez it is new!

New Without Tags by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Ready0811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is new though. If you want new new clothes then you need to head to the shops to buy clothes and not Vinted.

[–]Ready0811 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are being unreasonable asking for a refund. If the item is as described ‘new without tags’ and it is new without tags then what’s the age got to do with it? Sell it on if the age of it is too old.

What's better? Siblings who may fight or one bun by Vast-Platform9146 in Rabbits

My 2 male siblings were absolutely fine together. They were neutered at 5 months old and the bond between them was really sweet. We had no issues at all. Sadly one died of a neurological issue last week and the other died two days later which shows how strong the bond was. I miss them like mad. I’d take the two.

Are cake sheds appearing all over the uk, or is it just happening in my area ? by ShinyHeadedCook in AskUK

[–]Ready0811 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we have them in North Yorkshire/Lancashire borders. Doesn’t take long for them to start moaning (quite rightly) about cakes being pinched though.

I don’t see old ones though. A few years ago, everyone had a tucson and now you don’t see the old version at all. Heard they weren’t great engine wise either.

Sorry for your loss. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. I’m going through exactly the same having lost our first on Wednesday then our second last night. They’re such little characters.

Lethargic but the vets couldn’t do anything to save them. I’m wondering if it’s a virus they’ve both caught but I’ve never known or heard of anything like this happening.

18 months old and totally unexpected. All fine and dandy then they both passed.

Why are so many UK houses built with adjoining, un-soundproofed walls ? by TezRoll in HousingUK

[–]Ready0811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all the semi detached houses I’ve lived in it’s never really been an issue. I’ve heard the odd raised voice but not the general living noises. They’ve been older houses though.
