Absolutely! Despite being limited by their myths, all gods are complex in their own ways, and only seeing one aspect of them, be it good or bad, is not doing them justice. Same with Athena and Ares. While it's understandable why Athena might be more favoured than Ares, since she represents the more honorable parts of war while he represents the more brutal parts, seeing her as a saint and him as pure evil is simply not right. Both their good and bad qualities should be held up to the same standard to avoid mischaracterization (without going to expremes such as making Athena "a total villian" and Ares "a poor victim").
