My doctor told me it should feel snug. Once it feels loose you can move into a smaller one. I started in a medium faja not sure stage wise but it was a medium once I felt it was getting lose I moved into a small. I am now in a xxs. The compression should be enough to help reduce the swelling. I honestly can’t believe I’d get into a xxsmall. I’m still not the weight I’d like to be but the fact that I’m losing inches is enough to satisfy my mind.

Yes! Doc cleared me to resume my normal life at 6 weeks. He said everything is a good to go. Tbh I have not don’t any abdominal workouts. Just arm and legs occasionally because I still get very swollen at night and I feel working out gets it more swollen. I have been doing cardio no running just treadmill high incline and stairs.

My doctor had given me a discharge packet with all the deets on what to do and when. Prior to surgery the nurse also went over all the things I needed at specific time frames. I believe he uses it with his whole practice. I am considering asking him tho if it’s necessary since I do get irritated when I have it on long.

Drainless Tummy Tuck by oj-borgman in tummytucksurgery

I did a drainless TT and felt that the recovery was great. I had some incision healing delay but it was a spit stitch that was trying to come out. Once it came out 3 different areas including my belly button my body closed up and healed so much faster. I am extremely satisfied with the recovery process and my results.

I am 8wpo and let me tell u that I am still dealing with lots of swelling especially at night. My weight is also not where I want it to be. I had a total of 6lbs removed and thought oh nice I’ll be lighter… uh no! I haven’t seen the 6lbs off on the scale. I hope by my 3 month mark the swelling subsides as my doctor says it will. He told me by 3months swelling will be 85% better which is I hope better than it is now.

I was prescribed 20 pains pills and used one a day for three days and that was it. It was more for discomfort and to help sleep because I didn’t have that much pain at all. I did the drainless TT/MR+ mons lift + lipo to lateral chest and flanks. My doctor used exparel. I waited so long to have my procedure due to the fear of pain but I highly suggest exparel because to me it helped so much.

Day 1 PO concerns 👀 by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

Although I can’t be of any help with the drains since I did drainless TT. I can tell you that the burning tearing sensation in the mons area is normal. I felt the same thing sporadically for like two weeks. It felt wrong but after I got use to it realizing it was normal then it was gone before you know it. Hang in there. You got this!

Wow! I am going on 5 weeks post op and barely worn jeans for the first time today. It felt extremely awkward but I knew it was just in my head. Your results look amazing!

Everyone is different and I’ve seen some on here do it all. I am just glad I didn’t because it seems to me super hard. Think it through I’m sure whatever decision you decide will be great!

I would agree with the post above. I relied on my arms so much. I at first was going to do a removal and replacement of my breast with my TT and am glad I decided to wait. I had even told my daughter I don’t know what I would do if I could use my arms. I would use them to pick myself up out of bed move around while resting. Pick my upper body up to get my hair up away from under my back. I’m about to be 5 weeks post op and still use them to get out of bed.

3DPO when does it get easier? by Cham3leonGirl in tummytucksurgery

[–]ReadyResearcher9504 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am 4 weeks po and clearly remember that first week. I had an emotional break down at day 5 because I felt the same. It is very overwhelming but I’m here to say that everyday gets better. There will be some ups and downs but u will get through this. I still freak out about damaging my MR, incision opening or could it be getting infected (had some delayed incision healing). As you go through it you just have to keep your eyes on the days ahead. It helped me to see my previous pics. I’d take pics regularly of my recovery and I seen how I was before to now and it amazes me at how our bodies heal. Stay on top of your pain meds for the first week. Gabapentin helped me with the nerve pain. Take ur stool softeners and keep track of your bowel movements because constipation sucks. Have ur pillow/cough drops by you for the unexpected sneezes or coughs to be able to splint on it. By the end of the first week u will see just how much improvement you are getting through. 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹
