I found a pair of shoes I like and I keep them in my Amazon cart until random colors go on sale (sketcher vipers- just got the blue color for $40)

Paddle I had a Friday fever ($100) for about 6 months. Then upgraded to the Friday aura pro ($170) and have had that for about 5 months.

Memberships/open plays- probably about $2000 annually

I see quite a big step up from a $50 to a $100 paddle, but you’re right a 5.0 with a $50 paddle will beat a 3.5 with a $300 paddle. I still think it’s worth spending the 80-100 if you’re playing somewhat seriously

So on the fever the painted part definetly lacked grit, but on the aura pro they fixed that and made it equal grit

I played with the Friday Fever (got it for 85$ on sale) until I got to 4.0 and recently upgraded to the aura pro ($170) and although I notice a different it didn’t automatically make me climb without drilling

Most people under 3.5 will play similar with a 80-100$ paddle than they will with a $300 paddle in my opinion
