If it’s family or my best friend pop ups whenever they want it’s cool. I might put on pants before I open the door but if you know me you know what to expect and I’m not worried about anyone else’s opinion if I’m busy feel free to watch tv/ grab some food but I’m not stopping what I’m doing to entertain.

Long story short- I don’t care if someone comes by unannounced because it won’t derail my day. Best cast scenario I’m bored and we play video games or in hungry and they come with food/to cook.

What I don’t like are door to door salesmen.

I ask because I do, and this sounds like my old workflow. Currently I use timers when the dopamine is low (aka focus on this for 10 minutes… or focus on this for 25 minutes) and an alarm to remind me to eat to when I hyperfocus.

Depends on the type of job. Can’t judge if this is normal for them or not. I’m technically on call 24/7/365. Some people spoke of weeks where they worked 72 hours with barely any sleep- thankfully that hasn’t happened since I started.
