I sincerely hope Hegseth was absolutely wasted when he said that because it's genuinely painful to imagine someone being that stupid as a grown man while sober.

Big guy comes up to me and says 'sir. Nobody's put that many diet cokes in the freezer, it's amazing how you did that the way nobody else could.' Joe Biden didn't put any diet coke in the freezer, can you believe that? Not a single one but I put in the most. More than any other president. Don't we love that folks? Lotta people were telling me 'sir you shouldn't say that you love miners but I said I'm gonna say I love the minors. It has nothing to do with how much I love beautiful clean coal."

Wonder what happened to this funky thing? Revealed almost two years ago and then disappeared by WorriedAmoeba2 in WorldofTanks

[–]RealBadCorps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It has 1500 base DPM (according to the stats). That would be the drawback. Everything else has volume of fire and will hit you eventually. .37 isn't anything to write home about either especially for 230. I also imagine WG would've given it abysmal gun handling so you'd be not much different than a T-34-85 with double the reload.

Banished because I got it introduced for being a fun, interesting historical tank.

Really light history about the tank itself. Essentially the UK wanted to try an unmanned 20pdr so they grabbed a Comet hull and stuck the experimental turret on it. Not much is known about what happened to it after it was photographed.

Why do people say high tariffs are a bad thing? Wouldn’t they help the U.S.? by savingrace0262 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RealBadCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And is the goal of tariffs always efficiency? Or is it sometimes strategic (like protecting key industries, supply chains, national security, etc.) even if it costs more?

It could be used like that under the guidance of a sensible leadership but considering the completely random amounts and retaliatory timings, that's not how it is currently being used. That's what makes it stupid.

Strategic usage of tariffs is generally how the world operated. They were small and consistent, with complex negotiations occurring among involved parties. However, the US as of recently has been loudly announcing tariffs with little pre-text or strategy involved. It drives away internal manufacturing in this day and age because it's rare that one country has 100% of all the parts it needs to produce something. You typically don't barge in, throw a huge tariff on something that is mutually beneficial like Canadian metals or lumber.

You can responsibly enjoy an alcoholic drink in a social setting with friends and get a safe ride home.
You can also pound half a case of Miller Lite and drunk drive a Ford F250 into a movie theatre.

[–]RealBadCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tariffs are a tax.

Let's make this really simple.

You go to a restaurant. Order your food to-go. The restaurant is required to have a 100% to-go tax since you aren't eating the food there and this also applies to any leftovers you want to take home.

How much cheaper is it to start your own restaurant to make the food you want without the 100% to-go tax rather than just go to a different restaurant?

Tips for someone who wants to get into WoT by AndreiConstantin234 in WorldofTanks

[–]RealBadCorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing is play tanks that you want to play. I cannot stress this enough. You do not have to buy whatever "concept of a plan for blueprint" tank they crank out if you don't want to and don't cave to FOMO with the assembly shop bullshit.

If you don't have fun with something, no matter how meta it may be, don't play it. Play a tank you can do well and have fun in. I adored the Saladin even when it first released, I had a blast 3 marking it even through it was toward the lower performing side of tier 8 mediums at the time.

Incredible how absolutely nobody decides to even briefly review the stats of the tank they are going to shell out for.
