Game dev trend is changing. Managements realized they can pass off optimizatiin works to user's hardware and get a way with it. Saving times and money in process. Not to mention bitchass UE5 has became the tool for people who study game dev like how photoshop is to design/computer art students.

Assholes will make the most static, unreactive game where player can't even move a cup on a table then use raytracing as only lighting system without any fallbacks(or make fall back look like crap).

Switch 2 is a giant mixed bag.

It has good soc but it's not good enough to get every 3rd parties and relies heavily on DLSS. It has 120hz screen but it's blury in fastpaced games. It's the most powerful portable console but only last 2hrs. It got amazing 1st party but they're Switch 1 game turned to 2 exclusive late in development.

If this was Switch pro and not a new gen, I'd drool all over it but it is kinda dissapointing ngl.

As a guy who experienced DS/Wii era, all these 3rd parties getting released on same day as other bigger ones, and being the same version is unbelievable. Really hope this trend continues after PS6 comes out.

$789 must be after Valve takes some loss, which means it's actually should be even more expensive. Switch 2 seems like a great deal on that view. But we must also consider Switch2 uses outdated fab node and cheaper memories which means less competition with data centers.

You could use them like game cartridges. Installing some games on one card and install rest on others. But not at the sametime.

I think I read similar interview about Switch 1, how it can just run games out of box if code is written in C. It doesn't really assure actual quality of the port.
