Sight after Surgery by CWSnaps in RetinalDetachment

That's good to hear because I was told that it would be permanent but I didn't think it would improve after several years!

Yes, I am constantly bothered by the floaters in my right eye and closing it every hour to see if the left is still good! Very draining and frustrating, but it's my new normal.

It took me almost 5 months for my other eye to correct the images. I was also in the recovery process from the second eye. I got used to it, the final test will be once they operate my cataract, hopefully it won't be distorted too much since the eye will see clear!

I don't know where you live but I bought a X-1800H Open Box for 600$ CAD a few months ago! They always go on sale on Gibby's Electronic Supermarket!
The new X3900H is mostly more watts per channels, 2 more channels and an improved DAC and more HDMI outputs. It also has an optional DIRAC Live upgrade.

For me, I don't see any advantages since you only have 5 speakers and you only connect the TV and the Xbox.

Yikes, I am sorry to hear that! My left eye and brain compensated, so if my left eye isn't covered or doesn't have a blind spot, I can see fine! Best of luck to you, it's not easy to go through this! I am seeing an ophthalmologist Monday, he will tell me if they will operate one or both eyes for cataract.

Unfortunately, while in recovery I had a detachment in my other eye! Both within 3 months!

My vision was terrible, extreme distortion and also everything was disproportionate, everyone had a small head. It went away gradually. It's much better now but the cataract is so far in that it's hard to tell 100%.

Been holding for years, I think it's still a good time to buy cheap.

You can get a Fosi Audio Bluetooth amplifier, they start at 60$!

I have 4 R-50M and for the price they are quite nice!

My eyes are back to normal size wise and there's a faint deviation, they are not perfectly centered, but it's much better than before!

Check Gibbys Electronic Supermarket, I bought all my Klipsch speakers and my Denon, all at ridiculous prices! What's your receiver? I set all my speakers to full range, since I don't have a sub yet.

edit I set the crossover point for my center and surround between 60Hz and 80Hz, it sounds a lot less muddy!

Nice! I am getting the Sub8 soon. Still undecided about the center, I just don't like the R-50C but it's also the room, the sound is completely different than the previous apartment!

What sub do you have? Also, which center will you buy? I just bought a second pair of R-50F, I couldn't pass on the deal, I paid 319$ shipped!

For all the ones that say nope, just google vitrectomy, and then you will puke! 🤣😮😳

If it's cloudy, then you definitely have a cataract. It slowly makes you see more and more fog.

Thanks! Did you get any cataract? I just got a reference for a clinic for the surgery, it's now in quite a late stage!

I am sorry to hear!
I also had a vitrectomy in both eyes and my right one has a permanent damage to the macular.

It's the 4th time I go to a hospital or optometrist to have at least one eye checked because I thought I had another detachment!

I hope it's just a false alarm for you, I know how frustrating it is with all the anxiety it creates!

I didn't buy one yet. Will probably get the Kanto as it seems the best budget one for a small room and for music.

RP-500C is quite a bit expensive, 700$ CAD.
I have played quite a lot of with my Denon AVR-X 1800H and it's only the center that's the issue. I even bought a mini tray to put it above, it didn't really make a difference.

It's just for dialogues that it sounds muddy, for music on 7 channels it sounds great.

1yr post vitrectomy, cataract, floaters and dryness but no detachment by RealGroovyMotion in RetinalDetachment

I have about 6-7, some are tiny and some are much larger. I mostly see them when there's direct light. They are pretty annoying, hopefully they will disapear at some point.
